Has University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) started rolling admits out for MSCS?
Also, how does it compare to NYU Tandon and Texas A&M (MCS)? I know Minneapolis winters are harsh, but apart from the weather, are there pros and cons for these unis?

The Disc Golf season is underway for many warmer states across America, and while spring tournaments are just around the corner in Minnesota & the Midwest, snow and icy conditions still loom over most of the landscape.
Winter disc golf isn’t for the faint of heart as it poses many obstacles. Cold temperatures, poor visibility, and icy surfaces are just a small amount of challenges faced by those brave enough to brave the elements.
I was out throwing a casual practice round, dialing back when necessary, taking relief away from icy patches, but icy tee pads were treacherous and unavoidable when the course winds its way through the woods.
The tournament is less than a week away, and it’s going to take a lot of warm weather just to get rid of the snow, so managing the cold elements is already my mindset. I know the pdga allows you the relief of using a towel on slippery/unsafe surfaces, but there’s a limit to the thickness, right?
Almost want to bring a patch of carpet to lay down over the tee pads for myself and my card mates if there’s no considerable improvements, but I’m not sure it would be pdga legal.
Thoughts on what to do?

I’m currently working as a welder in Minnesota and am thinking about up rooting and moving out of the cold into a warm weather state.
My question is, if most of my experience is with tig and mig in a custom fab shop, what are good options in terms of warm weather states that have decent welding opportunities? Thanks.

So I live in southern Minnesota (Mankato area). I usually just put down disc golf in the winter months however this year Jomez has got me to catch the disc golf bug a little early.
I guess I’d like to give it a try this year. Looks like the weather will be warm within the next week, but there’s so much snow on the ground I’m sure it’s not going anywhere. Im just kind of looking for tips and insights.
Do you just play standstills? I can’t imagine anyone does upkeep on any of the courses in the winter. Im sure I shouldn’t expect access to tee boxes. Is there a worry of discs becoming brittle and cracking?

Shingle small portion popped up
Hi all,
A small piece of my roof edge shingle popped up for some reason. Wondering if I can just remove it once the weather improves (I’m in minnesota). Wondering if it’ll be an issue or not. Please see pictures below!
It’s less than an inch wide and the length of a shingle.
