I’ve just spent two weeks on P&O Arvia, a pretty new ship so reviews / reputation a bit thin on the ground.
It was pretty hard to find good food or service on the boat. So here are a few useful food notes/hacks for anyone travelling on it, but also feel free to AMA in the comments, happy to share anything else that would actually be relevant or useful for you.
Worth saying: My first cruise. Pretty cool being on the ocean and spending time with my recently widowed grandmother and some of my siblings. But it’s not my kind of holiday, or maybe just not my kind of cruise / boat / company!

1. Glass House

Impressive, adventurous wine list at good prices with good food. Peruvian Malbec, a marvellous Assyrtiko, some ridiculously cheap vintage English sparkling. Interesting small plates. Also had the same small group of staff so easy to build a good professional rapport e.g. free drinks, extra measures, interesting conversations (initiated by them) etc. Obviously the prices are subsidised by the overall cost of the cruise but for £7 or 8 you can buy a 250ml glass of something fairly special that'd cost you £12-17 in a restaurant back on land.

1. Horizon Buffet

At first impression Horizon, the main buffet, looks and feels like Dante’s eight circle of hell for all manner of reasons, BUT, it actually turned out to have a couple of hacks which made it a great option sometimes.

1. If you like cooking / making your own food at home, this is the closest you'll get with some great selections of interesting salads, raw and steamed veg, oils and fish. Build your own actually nice meal... for those of you whose idea of holidaying well also includes eating well.
2. Because of that, plus some decent fish (mackerel, trout, salmon, prawns) on offer, you can build yourself a decent measured meal
3. Take your food and leave the main indoor Horizon tables behind you, sit on the tables on the outside deck, under cover, for a cafe terrace feel
4. Use your napkin as a small table cloth (like when you’re on a plane and the cabin crew lay your meal out for you)
5. If you’re with a group, set your table out like above and then take a few trips into the buffet to get bowls of salad and side dishes to eat like you’re eating a half decent social meal at home. You’re also then right by the outside bar on that deck so easy to order a couple of bottles of wine for the table.

1. Green & Co

This restaurant was pretty much always empty, even when the other ones were booked up. It was the healthiest, nicest presented and delicious food I ate on the boat. The Sushi component was also some of the highest quality fish and preparation I’ve had outside of actual Japan. Yet still, pretty much always empty.

1. Meridian and Zenith

The two ‘posh’ main dining rooms (included). Stylish interiors and smart waiters but the food was bland and the service was slow. All the food tasted the same no matter what it looked like. It’s meant to give the vibe of fine dining but the implementation just isn’t there.

1. Service is weird

Service is slow, and weirdly for all of their ‘luxurious dining experience’ marketing there are never any things on the table like bread, olives, anything to stop you getting slightly pissy about the consistently slow service. There are a few little things like this.
For example, if you eat breakfast in Meridian or Zenith, they put jam on your table the moment you sit down but someone only comes round offering a rack of toast once you’re halfway through your ordered a la carte breakfast which comes half an hour after you’ve ordered it.
This sort of thing was a consistent occurrence, and others like this, which either means they want you to feel like it’s a ‘here’s a posh rack of toast’ kind of place without actually wanting to give it to you, or they’re just a bit crap at systems and haven’t really experienced it for themselves.

Anyone got any thoughts/experiences on the above? AMA about the ship or experience too if helpful for ya.

I'm looking for players that want to team up and play tibia differently than we normally would. I've created some rules and regulations but am having a difficult time deciding on allowing myself to use the daily log in potions. Here's my list of rules and see what you think

1. No market or trading other
   
2. No offline training. All progress must be made by myself in game.
   
3. No shops. Must obtain or make all supplies
   
4. No sleeping in beds
   
5. Houses can be used if the toon owns it
   
6. Can use training weapons if purchased from store with gold earned in game

This is all I have right now but more will follow. I'm trying to create a challenge where I would have to learn and play the game in a different way. Let me know what you think about the daily potions and exercise weapons and if you would be interested in this.

Hi Tallahassee, I'm looking for some help or advice on what to do here.
My family has 4 dogs in the house who all get along and like each other except for one. Our only female dog does not like the youngest male dog. She gets really anxious around him and that comes out as aggression, barking, snapping, etc.
She's normally a very sweet dog, she likes to sit on the couch with people and be pet and she looks up at you with these adorable and loving eyes. She's quiet and calm most of the time, and has no issues with the other two dogs in the house, she'll share a bed with them for example.
The youngest dog riles her up just through his normal happy-go-lucky behavior (he's part husky).
We've been trying to find a solution to this situation for a couple years now. We've had a couple different dog trainers come through, we worked with one for a while and implemented new ways of training but it hasn't resolved this specific issue. The house has every room and hallway gated off so the dogs can be separated, and she has her own crate which she goes into as well.
None of this has stopped her desire to attack the youngest dog. Most recently, when my dad was moving the dogs from one room to another, she lunged for the youngest dog while my dad was leading her. He tried to pull her back but her collar came off and she started attacking the other dog. She's a medium-large dog and the other is a large dog, my dad is a senior and he had a hard time pulling them apart. She ended up biting my dad in the arm as he was separating them, but he did manage to get them apart. Both dogs were ok with some minor injuries.
My dad has had enough of this constant conflict and is ready to re-home her or bring her back to the shelter. We all agree that she's adoptable due to her normal behavior (if the youngest dog wasn't here, everything would be fine) but because she has a history of aggression, we believe that the shelter will put her down.
We've tried calling and emailing a dozen or so shelters and sanctuaries, but they're all at capacity and not taking on more animals. One several hours from here said they have a year-long waiting list.
My dad is fed up and will take her to the shelter later this week no matter what. My sister and I are trying to figure out what to do. Is there a way she can live through this? Can we find her a home? Help!

I don't really think this is sustainable, and I think our roster will see a bunch of changes in the next couple of seasons.

Tier 1, Untouchables: Franz, Paolo
Self explanatory. I think they are the cornerstones of the franchise going forward.
Tier 2, Key Pieces: WCJ
I think WCJ is a still a pretty underrated center. Still on a good contract. Can play PF or C for us for years to come.
Tier 3, Important but not that important: Fultz, Suggs, Cole
This will probably be a point of contention. I think they are all very solid players in different ways, but I am not completely sold on any of them being vital to our backcourt. All of them are missing a little something to their game and need some development.
I personally love Fultz and was hesitant to put him in this tier. But I think if we had the chance to land a higher caliber PG, or highly touted PG prospect, it would be a no brainer.
I think all of their roles are "in jeopardy" to some degree. Our picks could come in and make an immediate impact. Fultz not as much as Cole and Suggs. I could see a lot guard minutes going to a rookie who can actually shoot the ball.
Tier 4, Keep if cheap: Bol, Okeke, Houstan, Goga
Bol needs to develop a ton. Okeke didn't get a fair shake last year. And Houstan is still young and developing. I think Houstan can grow into a very reliable bench shooter for us.
Tier 5, Time to move on: No one yet

I usually prefer this one over Celebrity Skin this time around they tied, nevertheless I won't deny that this album is a better entry for this band on the list. I don't know how much I buy the idea of too much Cobain's influence on Celebrity Skin, but I feel that this is a more honest effort, closer to their initial punk fury with the some experience being this one their second album.
If Love had not married Cobain and not being entangled all that drama and intrigue, she probably would be very very influential, not just a little. I imagine myself as a little rocking girl being really inspired by an album such as this. It really rocks.

Honestly, i don't get why people are so confused and hate this series so much. Perhaps i binge watch it rather than waiting weekly.
All in all, i really really really enjoy this show. Its a breath of fresh air compared to the mainstream and isekais animes out there. The world is unique, the settings is great, the characters are amazing.
The CGI aren't bad as people make it out to be and I watched other anime with CGIs too. The fight while short have great choreography to it.
The plot takes time. In the first couple episodes of cour 1, ep1 to ep5, i think i can understand why people are confused as the timeline jumped here and there. But its really not that confusing as people say. It builds up and showing the characters backstory.
This show feels like, FMA to me, instead of alchemy and its transmutation circle, its fairies and the fairy tome.
Its not without flaw obviously but this one is one of my favourite anime and I will say that Marlya is one of the best female protagonist and she will go to spot no.2 in my female anime list.
I will never forget this anime.

Are black card members allowed immediate entry into a lounge even if there is a wait? I arrived at the lounge and was told there was a 40 min late and put my name on the list. I'll be putting my projected GPA for 11th and 12th grade, and will be going more conservative in that regard. So I'm going to assume B's in smth like AP Lang or French IV, for example.

- I also have an interesting relationship with my english teacher. Taught me since 7th garde, knows how I've grown in an area I'm pretty bad in. And he's an english teacher. Probably will be a good one.
Chancing LORs aren't rlly reliable tho, so i'll give my chancing for LOR as "above average"
List: T25, Georgia Tech as an out-of-state, UC Berkely/LA, yk the usual. UCLA would be pretty fun to get into. UT Austin is also on the table definitely since I like the place.
Idk I don't like spending my life running on the tails of colleges, I want to develop as a person and have a strong connection with my fam. So I probably won't do crazy things that take too much of my time. Most of my effort is gonna be martial arts, the fam, and my own personal growth.
Essays: Probably will write em well. I have some unique ideas with my crazy life experiences lol. Drafted some and have good feedback.

Who had Liquid 0-2 to 3-2 in the BLAST Paris Challengers Stage?
After getting embarrassed by Apeks & ForZe on Day 1, few believed NA’s darlings would recover from their disastrous start... until they got matched against Fluxo in the 0-3 pool.
Fluxo got 16-2’d by paiN -- how could Liquid lose?
(If I had a nickel for every time I asked that question I wouldn't be writing this)
In classic Liquid fashion, they gave their 14 year old fanbase multiple heart attacks throughout the series. Despite being pushed to the edge, Liquid pulled through to live on at the Major. After steamrolling their NA brethren in Complexity, Liquid faced Grayhound for the last spot in the Legends stage. It was a layup of a match for them, taking care of the dawgs in two maps and continuing their major run.
Surprisingly, they didn’t choke on the opening day of Legends. They destroyed 9INE and Na’Vi to go 2-0, off the back of a disgusting match by YEKINDAR.
Liquid 3-0 pickers slept happy that night, but their bubble was popped the following day 🫧
Up against their kryptonite (5 dudes from Denmark) Liquid failed to take down Heroic to earn their berth in playoffs, which tee’d them up for a 2-1 match against Into the Breach. The Brits vs. Americans — what year is this, 1781?
Liquid made quick work of the world’s 28th best team on an overtime Overpass and one-sided Anubis, securing their spot among the 8 final teams in the Paris major. Despite not going 3-0, Liquid have made NA proud once again — perfect timing for the final CS:GO Major.

I had Heroic as my 3-0 until I switched them for ENCE. Please do not ask me how I’m doing.
ZywOo decided he wanted to win Paris, so that was cool ig. Bro dropped a 1.38 rating in their 3-0 run. Playing in his home city must’ve awoken something inside of him. Rumor has it the air quality is perfect in Paris — and this has something to do with his performances. On the Heroic side — they swept aside FaZe and Apeks en route to their playoffs speedrun. They took down Liquid in the 2-0 pool for the cherry on top 🍒

G-2 Disappointing Majors in a Row

Déjà vu anyone?
At least this time G2 actually made it to the major before bombing out in the Swiss Stage 🧀 After losing their opening match to the ZywOo Effect™️, they fumbled the bag by losing 16-13 to an org-less Bad News Eagles 🦅
G2's backs were against the ropes — one Bo3 away from elimination in the final Major of CS:GO. FURIA were next in line for G2, but their crippling lack of T-Sides allowed G2 to live another day. In the 1-2 pool, G2 found themselves against the mezii-led fnatic in a game with elimination on the line. After taking each of their own map picks, the two euro-mixes found themselves on the game’s best fucking map for elimination:

nicoodoz came alive on the final map to turn the tides in favor of fnatic, who took the map 16-13. Minutes later, there were numerous reports of Chinese phone numbers hitting up members of G2.

ZywOo decided this was his tournament to win. The Chosen One and his friends took home the slimy dorito trophy in front of the home crowd 🥖
Vitality scooped up their first major in an undefeated playoff run against some of the best teams in the world — Into the Breach, Apeks, and GamerLegion.
Yes. You are reading that correctly. To say they had an easy run is… an understatement. Sure, you can only face who is in front of you, and props to them for capitalizing. It just feels kinda lame how the playoffs of the final CS:GO major played out.
In other news, dupreeh took home his fifth Major title in Vitality’s dream run.
This makes him:

• The only player that has attended every major in history 🥇
• The player with the most career earnings all-time 💰
• The only player with the right to use that amazing Faze down, Ass up deagle nickname lmao 🔥

This dude really went from sweating bullets to sweating major trophies, huh?

R.I.P DIAMOND COINS AGAIN 💎

When the Major comes around, there’s one CS:GO fans always like to bitch about — their Pick 'Ems. According to Leetify, only 0.3% of players got the diamond coin this time around. This was better than Rio’s 0.1%, but still abysmal compared to the 8% and 11% of Berlin and Antwerp respectively.
Why did so few get the coin this time? Some of the biggest names failed to make it out of the legends stage. Teams like G2 and Na’Vi. The ones that did, like Heroic and Liquid, didn’t even make it past the semis. I don’t know about you, but the absolute last thing I was expecting was GamerLegion in the final. Here’s some of the notable matches that led to this wild playoff bracket:

• GamerLegion 2-1 versus Heroic (ouch again)

Let’s talk about the people who pulled off the upsets, who shook the scene to its core throughout the last major ever.
First on the list is Mihai “iM” Ivan from GamerLegion. This guy was turning heads all tournament with his outstanding level of play against the very best.
Despite him and his team getting off to a disastrous start of 0-2 in the challengers stage, they fought their way all the way to the Grand Final. He ended the tournament with a stupid 1.35 HLTV rating, trailing only ZywOo.
Apex Legends Apeks Playoffs
Another team that surprised everyone has to be Apeks— remember guys like STYKO, jkaem, or nawwk? They impressed everyone by stealing a spot in the semis over NA’s darling.

Another repost to try again! Why? Because although it LOOKS like someone fulfilled my wishlist and sent litter for my furbaby, nothing ever actually arrived.
I was able to find a place willing to cut me a deal to get tires for my car, but since I dropped it off, l've still been relying on public transport. A couple things have come up though and I'm in need of about $100 to cover everything. Paying to get where I need to so I can pick my car back up, getting a new ID card, and then a quick stop to get some cat litter for my little furbaby. (I've since added a list for the litter and a little extra cat food). I know it's a lot to ask, but I'd be very grateful if anyone could help at all.

I’ve been working on cutting my deck roster size down lately due to some personal things. In this process, I’ve become enamored with folks who only have a handful of decks. People with only one deck truly fascinate me, like how do you stay passionate and keep playing the same thing over and over again without it getting dull?
I’ve seen people who have a “signature” deck and a few others they rotate through and I’d say that’s my goal. But I really want to start with a deck that I love and have poured my heart and soul into, that I am proud of, that people identify the deck to me.
At the moment, I feel so far away from this. I feel like there is so much to play and experience. There are things I’ve tried that I still can’t tel if they just aren’t for me or if I haven’t fleshed them out enough. There’s also so many color combinations and commanders and strategies I identify differently with every day. I’d probably have a ton of decks if it wasn’t for time and money being a constraint. But right now, I’m going to try and do a 180 because I’m looking at my deck idea list and it’s 100+ long and I have no clue how I’d even come close to that, especially at the rate they print new stuff.
For the folks out there with just a couple decks they are extremely passionate about, what’s your advice?

Hi guys, I built a PC couple of months ago (specs listed below) after a long 9 years. When I built it, I opted for DDR4 instead of DDR5 since it was crazy expensive where I live. All this time I would just turn on 'XMP Profile 1' whenever I would update my BIOS to make my RAM run at the advertised 3600 Mhz speed and that was fine.
Recently, I decided to do a gaming comparison with my brother's PC (12600K+B660+3060 Ti) and realised my system was underperforming compared to his despite being having slightly better components. I then found out that despite being on 'Auto' in both PCs, his RAM was running at 'Gear 1' and mine at 'Gear 2'. I manually changed mine to run at Gear 1 and I got an improvement in performance, except the games crash randomly sometimes showing no errors, sometimes showing DirectX has crashed, etc. The system is running just fine and there are no BSODs or anything like that, just game crashes. Doesn't crash whilst doing benchmarks (Cinebench + Heaven together), so I can't even say for sure it's a Nvidia driver related issue or not. There's this one or two errors that's there in Event Viewer that says 'event id 0 nvlddmkm cannot be found', but I'm not totally sure if it's related to the memory changes.
So I would like to know is it possible to run my RAM sticks at 3600 Mhz Gear 1? Is this an issue with my board or my locked processor? What would you advise to do? Do I have to manually tweak it to get similar performance as 3600 Gear 1 and if so how do I do? Any particular settings that has worked for your system with similar specs or issues?

Maybe someone could provide me with a link and an explanation of how challenger circuit works? They're playing for spots to possibly play in the 2024 ALGS "regular season" right?

Manju akka asked all the E-cluster members to join the stage with her. It was an epic win. E-clus haven't wont a single fiesta so far and that too girls never reached top 3 . This was in fact a moment of pride for everyone .They got on the stage and received the trophy. The girls hugged Manju ka, she was the main motivation for them.
The crowd had begun to move already , her girls came to her near the stage and hugged ,they were excited for her.
"Gals, you go ahead , I have something to do here, and hey I am hungry d ,take couple of idli and sambar from mess?"-she asked Sandy. Sandy nodded and hugged her back and left.
Only the club members where left, photography, arts, drama and movie club members,
"Madhu, we need to write names on the certificate and distribute, can you grab them from the mech seminar hall?write the names and bring it back, cant do this in the crowd"- Naveen anna handed her the list
She walked out of the auditorium and saw him walking towards her,
"Honestly no words , I am speechless, you did amazing"
"Thanks" she blushed, why is the path so dark? usually this area is lit up . she hoped he would walk with her, she was always afraid of the dark,
They were walking on the dark path and she noticed to full moon, god this day couldn't get any better. He was walking silently with her , deep in thoughts, She even glanced at him few times, he didn't notice her,
"Looks like it is a full moon day , its so beautiful"- she started the conversation
"Yes it is, its so beautiful, it might even start to drizzle "- he replied , he didn't see her still
They reached the seminar hall and she opened the package on the desk and opened a black marker and started to write the names on the certificates
He sat opposite to her, still deep in thoughts, she could see that in his face, but she didn't dare to ask, she didn't want to have any other conversation with him, she always dreaded that. She was happy with the way things are for now.

she smiled, yeah she still has the purple file , but didn't remember asking for one
when I looked at you and you said "Please? It matches my dress color!!"- he imitated her face
"I found a purple file from the box and you were so happy, juts lit up and happy, so pretty , I started noticing you right away !! and yeah I used to see you from our class window during PT periods, you will be playing co-co or a ring, always smiling and playing, you would participate in dance, drama and music what not!! quite famous"

"and you joined Durai master tuition "
"Did you go there too?"

"Like you were everywhere, I will always be seeing you, tried to talk to you but I was bit hesitant you were junior and school was strict , didn't want to get you in trouble"

"I finished school and I tried to get your phone number from you classmates and even called once, your mom picked up and I hung up the call , when I saw you on the corridor that day it was a dream come true for me!"
She didn't know what to say, she smiled and continued her work,

There it was, the three words she dreaded the most, she have heard few 'I love you!!s' before, in a bus stand , in her tuition and in her school, for some reason they were all nervous while confessing their feelings, writing on a paper and sneaking it inside her notebook or from her behind when she turned back this guy was long gone , or sending a friend as a messenger, she didn't take anything seriously .she carefully eluded the glances and signals, but here he is confronting her with it, looking at her straight in her eyes and confessing his feelings.
She always had an imagination for everything, she thought she was always meant to fall in love, may be all those romantic love stories she read growing up or the movies she watched drove her imaginations wild. she would always run in the savanna with the flowy long skirt, and this guy would chase her and hold her hands and say 'I love you ' and she will melt in those arms, but this was nothing like she ever imagined. She was here sitting on a dusty desk , in an old classroom ,not in a flowy white skirt not she was being chased on a meadows, but this was perfect , perfect way to express love. Her throat went dry and it was hard for her to breath ,For all the 1000 words she would speak for every single word, for how talkative and playful she is, all she could bring up was
"nan pogata?" she could barely hear her own voice, it sounded so weak and why the hell is she asking his permission to go?, shouldn't she just leave if she wants to? she looked out of the window and the path was not dark anymore, she gathered all the certificates and couple of markers and left the room, he got up and started walking behind her , they entered the auditorium and nobody noticed them , the air was electric and they were all in small groups talking something loud. She saw Aarthi and Manju akka in one of the groups and went to them
"Okay attention da!!"Naveen anna went up the stage, everyone sat where they were in small groups, Selva was sitting somewhere behind with his mech friends from the dance club
"A round of applause for everyone, this is one of the best in years. Just amazing". They all clapped
"Can't believe mighty megatrons lost to bunch of half-saree girls!!, but anyway amazing. I want to thank all the volunteers who made this event successful, participants, other club members, no time to give all the certificates one by one da, So I am reading the names here and raise your hands Manju will come and give it to you, just be seated" Naveen anna was holding the mic

"Hey he bought it for you !! okay? go go up on the stage and say thank you go"- she pushed Madhu
She went up on the stage and said thank you, they all started to clap and make fun of them, he extended his hands she gave him a handshake and said "Thank you!!"
"welcome"- he had a smirk on his face, he is cocky, he is enjoying this. why am I not angry now and blushing like an idiot?
This is out now, out in public, everyone knows he is into her now, everyone knows something is going on between them , she was too nervous when she got back to the seat, god I need to be with my girls now! Cant wait to go back to hostel

Hello /Games!
A couple days ago I properly revealed the game i'm working on: Settlemoon, releasing August 1st.
It's a cute little idle game inspired by an odd cross of Neko Atsume: Kitty Collector and...the town areas in Zelda 2. The sun and moon have both disappeared from the world, leaving everything in a void. Your job is to keep the sky lit and build a town for passing adventurers to buy things and hang out in, while also trying to figure out what happened to the world.
As you progress, your town will get a lot more busy. This will get the attention of NPCs to sell things, give you gifts, or even challenge you to boss raids (which your town's adventurers will take care of).
I've been working on it mostly as a solo dev for a little over a year now...though solo is a bit of an exaggeration. My composer did an amazing job with the music, and the beta testers have given me tons of good feedback. If I had to take away anything here it'd be to have people test it as soon as possible.

I was born in a lower-middle-class family in a small town. After my dad got a new job in Reliance Industry, we moved to a tier-three city. We were hopeful that the quality of life will improve.
However, we soon realized that living in a bigger city came with its own challenges and costs. My father had to pay income tax on his salary, which reduced his disposable income significantly. He also had to pay for our education, health care, and other expenses that were not subsidized by the government. We faced corruption and bribery at every step, whether it was getting admission to a good school, applying for a scholarship, or obtaining a certificate from a government office. We felt cheated and frustrated by the system that did not reward our hard work and honesty.
On the other hand, we saw that many local people who did not pay any direct tax enjoyed various freebies and benefits from the government. They received free cycles, uniforms, scholarships, ration, water, kerosene, and so on. I often wondered why we did not get those things for free like them. My father explained that we were not eligible for those schemes because our name was not on the list of beneficiaries. He said that to get our name on the list, we would have to bribe some officials and waste our time and energy. He said that we should focus on our studies and career instead of depending on the government.
Now I am 27 years old and working as a software engineer in a tier-one city. I earn a decent salary, but I pay 35 thousand rupees as income tax every month. I moved here with the same hope of improving my quality of life and seeing some development for which we have been paying taxes. But what I see is poor infrastructure, bad roads, water scarcity, pollution, and traffic congestion, not even a decent sidewalk to walk. I do not see any difference between the services and facilities available to me and those who do not pay any direct tax. They still get even more freebies and subsidies from the government, while I get nothing in return.
I do not mind paying tax if I get something in return, like free and quality education and healthcare. I do not mind freebies if the government delivers what it has promised already, like good roads, clean water, reliable electricity, and efficient public transport. But I do not see any of these things happening in India. I feel that there is no incentive for me to pay taxes in this country. I feel that there is no reward for me to move up the ladder from lower middle class to upper middle class.
Is it fair to overburden us will all the taxes and interest rate hikes? Should I even feel proud to pay taxes in this country? Should the hell I pay taxes in this country?
