Watched APES TOGETHER STRONG last night. Honest and pretty-detailed review, in this post. Hopefully the Mulligans read this. (I'll also be posting as much as I can on Amazon reviews, to assist the other reviews in getting the average American to become a little curious).

I realize this movie couldn't be successful if the Mulligans had made it as long as the 3 hour 30 minute Ultimate Cut of Watchmen. Our society simply can't focus for that long :'( -- 2 hours would have been fine, I think. Some things I liked. Some things needed adding, or expanding on. Going to summarize with just bullet points, or this becomes 40 fat paragraphs. No particular order, just as I thought/think of it.

2 more minutes to explain WHO Thomas Peterffy is, and show him sweating his balls off. Remember, he accidentally gave us 2 very critical pieces of info: (1) That the price WAS going into the thousands. (2) That all we had to do was "ask for our shares" (DRS -- which no one really knew about yet). Americans MUST hear and recognize these 2 bits of info.
Loved the musical sampling, but sometimes the bass was very heavy, and actually competed with the interviewees voices, or the monologue. I know an incredible Hollywood-seasoned pro audio guy in LA who can help the Mulligans for the sequel. PM/DM guys, me if you wish.
2 more minutes of meme samples, with more emphasis on why morale is so very important. The Bart-Homer meme had me laughing, but maybe a Matrix meme or one of the crayon memes, or The Warriors-Ryan-Cohen-as-Luther could have added emphasis that a bunch of goofy-ass retreaded apes, who self-deprecate, and self-defecate, are imminently going to slam dunk, balls-in-the-face, on Wall Street.
Hhhwhere Apex Clearing ???? We got to Robinhood and Citadel giving tuggies to each other, but no mention of Apex doing the reacharound?? More villain hierarchy needed 3-5 minutes of exposure.
Cede & Co also missing. Physical share certs vs. digital was touched-on, but the DTCC didn't receive a proper lambasting, nor with any connections made to Cede (maybe the biggest boss in this whole shit mess). 2 more minutes for this please.
FTDs. MONSTER TOPIC. Maybe the most important. Brushed on briefly, but not really explored. I think Dr. Trimbath needed a few more minutes, to get a little detailed on FTDs and Obligations Warehousing.
ODDITIES: We definitely needed 5-10 minutes to touch on weird shit like the Illinois Iron Oxide Mountain fire, the Brazilian Puts, and other stonkfunkery. The public needs to see that there is action taking place in the background, that their imaginations could not fathom before.
2 more minutes for Infinite Risk explanation. I think most average Muricans who watch will still come away from this documentary saying "Naw, how can the price go __that__ high?? Not possible".
10% less tugging of heartstrings, and 10% more FLOWCHARTS , pleeeeeaasseeee. I know people have shit attention span, and getting people in their feels works... but even the most dull of our population would have a little blood boil, if they could view connections from what was seemingly unrelated parties and occurrences.
Keith Gill's Options needed a more thorough explanation. We see it went from $50,000 to millions, but got little explanation of his DD and his timing, and NO details of what an options contract is. People will think he "got lucky".
BCG, Board of Directors, and other bad actors needed 5 minutes of airtime. It's important for the public to know that it's not just hedge funds and Wall Street... it's ancillary shitasses, trojan horses, and weaponized double-agent internal BOD and C-suite, as well, that alllllll contribute to this diseased state of what should be squarely-run companies.
CokeRat was sensationalized, but we needed to present him as the 2-faced scumbag junkie that he is.
The AMAs of Shark Cuban and Jon Stewart should have been addressed. Stewart squeezing Gensler's balls a little, should have been squeaked in too. Depending on post-production, Stewart's may have been close, but I think it would have made it. 5 minutes of footage for these 2 guys, would have rocked.
The popcorn aura and previous influences, is forgivable. Let's consider maybe a lot of the movie started getting cobbled together in 2021, when info was still being sorted. And Co-Chodes definitely needs an adrenaline shot, or a hot woman's ass in his face, to wake him up.
I would have hoped to see " rSuperstonk " given about 10 seconds of blatant exposure, to get new blood into this site. I did see the purple crayon cocaine line for about 2 seconds, but that's not enough. I have faith some will dig enough, they will land here, and join the quest.
GOOD AMOUNT of HUMOR in the film. I appreciate that the Mulligans have a sense of humor... and this film is chock-full of it. We need to keep our morale, no matter what. Lose the morale, lose the war.

I'm not going to give the film a score, but I will say that it managed to captivate a 16-year old with really bad ADHD problems, who normally doesn't sit still longer than 5 minutes. Galvanized my angry Mom further (she worked at our cough-cough-corrupt-judge-fraudulently-bankrupted JCPenney, for 16 years). Her diamond hands equal any of ours. Also kept the attention of my girlfriend and her boyfriend, who both thought I was the village idiot 2.5 years ago. Lots of questions were asked, during and after. Knowledge has been spread..... "And knowing is half the battle!"

That's all I can think of for now. Thank you to the Mulligans for making this. I have no problem paying $16 or $20 or $30 for a sequel. Hurry up with it.

Hang tight retreads. We're gonna win this.

(Note there's no actual major spoilers in this post but I do discuss a few plot points that give away a bit of the story.)
I recently discovered the show Lucifer and have been using it when I need something somewhat dumb to distract myself. It's a well-written, entertaining show, and it has 6 seasons, and I'm less than halfway through. One thing I was excited about is that Lucifer is canonically bi, but the more I watch the more I'm disappointed with the way they handled it.
Lucifer's sexuality is first hinted at when he wakes up with a naked woman and man in his bed. When someone discovers the arrangement, Lucifer calls it the "Devil's threesome." However, it was uncertain what was going on. The guy was sleeping on the other side of the bed while the woman cuddled with Luci. And not all MMF threesomes involve any bisexuality; it could've just been an MFM arrangement where Luci and the other dude took turns with the woman.
However, his bisexuality is established in a later episode (in Season 2 I think? I'm doing this from memory) where Lucifer's partner Detective Decker discovers a dead man and says that "I know you weren't sleeping with him." Lucifer corrects her; not only did he sleep with that guy, but lots of others. A plot device requires the LAPD to interview every former sexual partner of Lucifer and the gathering of extras is about 25% - 30% male. At least one guy's interview is shown.
In another episode, Lucifer offers to seduce a man to advance the case. Dan (I think) says it won't work because he's straight and married. Lucifer says, "Than never stopped me before. I've flipped so many men they call me the griddle."
One the one hand it's so fantastic that a contemporary TV show can make a really hot male main character bi. Disappointingly, however, every single MM encounter of Lucifer's happens offstage.
And the show certainly doesn't hide Luci's sex life. Frequently shows begin with him getting it on with some smoking hot chick in his penthouse upstairs from his club Lux. Downstairs he's often got four or five scantily dressed women all over him. Furthermore, his sexual powers are a central part of the plot; frequently he gets practical things (tips, a way in a forbidden area, etc.) from women they'd never give otherwise as they stare at him lustfully. When they go to some LA party full of sexy people, hot women will recognize Lucifer because they banged before.
However, none of this happens with men. In an early episode, Luci pulls his "what do you truly desire" trick on a male waiter at a gathering of some sort, and the guy says, "You. I'm gay." Lucifer shows no interest, in spite of the guy being really hot. Guys never give Lucifer what he wants because they're hot for him. And most importantly, the show never shows him cavorting with hot dudes either downstairs or up in the penthouse.
(As a side note, the show has no trans representation AFAIK. Certainly it seems likely that Luci's history would include hooking up with some non-cis characters, but that never comes up, nor are there any trans people involved in the plot any other way.)
And the show does clearly know how to show a character being fully bisexual, as it does exactly that with his demon sidekick Mazikeen. Maze is a former professional torturer out of hell who is as horny as she is brutally violent. And Maze eagerly bats for both teams, frequently getting it on with both men and women. Posing as a massage therapist to get information from a rich debutante, she flips the woman over and starts massaging her front. The woman says, "are you supposed to massage my breasts?" Maze says, "I can stop," and the woman says, "I didn't say that." Later Maze goes hard after Charlotte Richards, the attorney who had previously been inhabited by Lucifer's goddess mother. Unfortunately it still seems that modern pop culture is more comfortable with bi women than bi men.
I am only halfway through season 3, so I'm holding out hope we'll see Luci making out with some hot half-naked dudes later on. But I'm not going to keep my hopes up. I'll keep watching the show, because it's fun. But it's also a good representation of the disappointing place bi representation is today.

Mi pareja y yo llevamos saliendo casi 2 meses y al principio todo iba bien, hablabamos todos los dias, quedabamos para salir por ahi, nos veíamos todos los dias... Pero despues de 1 mes la notaba muy rara, como distante, y pues hable con ella y tal y le dije de darle su espacio y tal y me dijo que si automaticamente, le deje su espacio y pues 1 semana o 2 despues no me acuerdo bien hablamos otra vez y dijo de volvernos a hablar como antes y tal y que perdon por todo esto que ella no podia hablar tanto tiempo con una persona ya que se agobia, le dije que si me podia escribir ella porque le habia escrito como 3-4 veces y lo notaba como raro no tener respuesta, y me dijo que vale que ningun problema, y no me escribio, a los 4 dias decidi pasar totalmente de ella haber si asi estaria mejor, pero nada, al final hable con ella sobre eso y pues se disculpo y tal y que todo sigue igual y pues eso. Y unos dias antes de hablar me puse malo un dia y al no verme se extraño y me escribio diciendo que si me pasaba algo. Y ahora me he puesto malo 3 dias y no me ha dicho nada, y no se porque me da la sensacion que me esta engañando con su amiga, su amiga antes de estar saliendo con ella me confeso que le gustaba ella (Mi actual pareja) y cuando empeze a salir con ella despues de 1 semana me dijo que ya no le gustaba ella (Mi actual pareja), y pues tengo mis sospechas de que me esta engañando con su amiga. Y ya no se que hacer...

Unboxing, construcción y confort

Caja simple pero esperada en este segmento de precio. Como en la mayoría de estas, al abrirla nos encontramos con el par de auriculares y debajo de ellos dos bolsas pequeñas: una con el cable tipo 2pin 0.78mm y otra con 5 pares extras de puntas de silicona.

La construcción de los auriculares en sí se siente barata. El driver de 10mm con diafragma compuesto de metal se encuentra protegido por un housing moldeado en plástico y con un faceplate metálico con las inscripciones de la marca y modelo. Un punto positivo de este tipo de construcción es la variedad de colores que se ofrecen para este modelo que son 6 en total: blanco, negro, celeste, rojo, rosa y naranja.

Pasando al cable, por el precio está muy bien. Tiene buena maleabilidad, no se enreda fácilmente y el conector de 3.5mm es recto, que alivia la tensión de la terminación del cable en este punto en comparación a los conectores en forma de “L”. Como puntos negativos de este encontramos que es un poco microfónico al rozar con la ropa y que tiene guías plásticas para las orejas que pueden resultar incómodas para algunos.

Con respecto a las puntas de silicona, me sorprendió la cantidad que vienen incluidas (6 pares contando las que llevan puestas los IEMs). Algunas de estas son de “orificio amplio” como las de color naranja (retienen mejor frecuencias graves y agudas) y otras de un orificio más estrecho como las de color celeste (reducen las frecuencias agudas sin afectar los graves = más elevación de los graves)
Por último, el confort de estos auriculares me pareció excelente desde el primer día. Siempre lo usé con las puntas naranjas que son de tamaño pequeño (S) y tanto la forma del IEM como dichas puntas favorecieron a un sellado excepcional de mi oído externo, y son tan livianos y cómodos que puedo usarlos durante horas sin siquiera acomodarlos. Es una muy buena opción para aquel que necesite paz en ambientes ruidosos

Graves
\rumble: frecuencia baja y profunda que puede ser más percibida que escuchada*
Subgraves con mucha autoridad lo cual queda demostrado en canciones como “Xanny” de Billie Eilish y ”Hot In It“ de Tiesto. La sensación de “rumble”* en estas y otras canciones es muy bueno, los subgraves se sienten en todo el pecho.
Por otro lado, los graves (>50-60 Hz a 200 Hz) estan un poco por detrás para mi gusto como queda demostrado en canciones de EDM como “Follow” de Martin Garrix. No obstante, esto evita que las frecuencias graves “molesten” a las frecuencias medias y haya una transición correcta entre estas
Medios
Escuché varios cantantes distintos para tener una buena referencia de este rango de la frecuencia. Freddie Mercury, Billie Eilish, Adele y Calamaro, en ninguno de estos artistas pude encontrar algo incorrecto con esta frecuencia.
Voces masculinas como femeninas se desenvuelven naturalmente teniendo una presencia más que adecuada, donde las voces femeninas tienen un poco más de autoridad como escuché en “Vivere” en la parte donde Bocceli canta en conjunto con Gerardina Trovato.
La articulación entre los distintos instrumentos y voces que ocupan este rango es muy buena no “molestándose” en ningún momento.
Agudos
En general las frecuencias agudas dejan un poco que desear para aquellos que les guste un tuning más brillante y con más cantidad de detalle. No obstante, esto es un punto muy positivo para sesiones de largas escuchas donde este IEM va a reproducir toda la biblioteca con una musicalidad excepcional. En “Black Magic” de Slayer (Live Undead), el platillo del baterista en los primeros 30 segundos nunca es ofensivo con el oído pero tiene buena presencia. En “Revelations” de Iron Maiden también la variedad de platillos que son ejecutados por el baterista durante los solos de guitarra se tienen presencia pero una muy tranquila sin ser agresivos ni brillantes.
Timbre
\Timbre: características distintivas entre los sonidos de los instrumentos/voces que nos permiten diferenciarlos entre sí.*
El timbre* de estos auriculares es algo que otras compañías tendrían que tomar nota. Entiendo que no es un tuning arriesgado al seguir la curva Harman pero los instrumentos se encuentran tan bien representados que a pesar de no ser el mejor IEM en términos de resolución/detalle se hacen comparables con otros que están muy por encima de su rango de precio gracias a la excelente ejecución del timbre. Todos los instrumentos “Invierno: Allegro non Molto” de Vivaldi - interpretada por Fabio Biondi, se distinguen excelentemente entre ellos, desde el violinista principal hasta los violonchelos y el contrabajo que acompañan al resto de violines.
Soundstage e imagen
\Imagen: precisión y claridad con la que se pueden ubicar sonidos en la mezcla.*
Como se mencionó anteriormente en la descripción de la respuesta en frecuencia, el soundstage o espacialidad del sonido está por encima del promedio. Canciones como “The Great Unknown” de Iron Maiden y “Bicycle Race” de Queen sacan a la luz que estos auriculares tienen un soundstage ancho y que puede ser profundo cuando debe serlo. En la segunda canción mencionada, se crea una escena tridimensional muy bien lograda ubicando a todos los coristas y la batería por detrás de Freddie, con uno de los platillos teniendo una presencia característica ubicándose atrás y a la derecha durante el estribillo.
Con respecto a la imagen*, este es uno de los pocos puntos débiles que le veo a los Zero. En “Alta Suciedad” de Calamaro me es difícil discernir entre las guitarras derecha e izquierda que tocan en la banda. Lo mismo sucede durante la introducción de la canción de Iron Maiden mencionada en el párrafo anterior.

7HZ Salnotes Zero vs KZ DQ6

Decidí hacer una breve comparación entre estos dos modelos dado a que se encuentran rondando el mismo rango de precio tanto internacionalmente como en Argentina (7hz Salnotes Zero al día de hoy: $24500 pesos argentinos o $20 USD - KZ DQ6 al día de hoy: $23500 pesos argentinos o $20 USD)

DQ6 tiene más punch y rumble por tener una elevación más pronunciada en las frecuencias graves. Son comparables en los subgraves, Zero con un poco mejor de extensión en este rango.
La transición más “correcta” entre los graves y los medios hace que las voces e instrumentos suenen un poco más naturales en los 7hz en comparación.
Los agudos son dos polos opuestos en mi experiencia: los DQ6 tienen unos agudos brillantes por momentos que ayudan a crear esa sensación de detalle pero a cambio de pequeñas sibilancias molestas, mientras que los Zero tienen unos agudos más relajados/oscuros que no son tan detallados pero ayudan a su musicalidad.

Conclusión

Viendo el nuevo segmento de ranking que incluí creo que es bastante obvio que esta es un producto simplemente fácil de recomendar: buen confort, tuning impecable por el precio, buena cantidad de accesorios y de respetable calidad por $20 USD. Los pocos puntos negativos que mencioné durante mi análisis claramente no alcanzan para bajar este producto del pedestal que se merece estar.

Graves
\rumble: frecuencia baja y profunda que puede ser más percibida que escuchada*
Subgraves con mucha autoridad lo cual queda demostrado en canciones como “Xanny” de Billie Eilish y ”Hot In It“ de Tiesto. La sensación de “rumble”* en estas y otras canciones es muy bueno, los subgraves se sienten en todo el pecho.
Por otro lado, los graves (>50-60 Hz a 200 Hz) estan un poco por detrás para mi gusto como queda demostrado en canciones de EDM como “Follow” de Martin Garrix. No obstante, esto evita que las frecuencias graves “molesten” a las frecuencias medias y haya una transición correcta entre estas
Medios
Escuché varios cantantes distintos para tener una buena referencia de este rango de la frecuencia. Freddie Mercury, Billie Eilish, Adele y Calamaro, en ninguno de estos artistas pude encontrar algo incorrecto con esta frecuencia.
Voces masculinas como femeninas se desenvuelven naturalmente teniendo una presencia más que adecuada, donde las voces femeninas tienen un poco más de autoridad como escuché en “Vivere” en la parte donde Bocceli canta en conjunto con Gerardina Trovato.
La articulación entre los distintos instrumentos y voces que ocupan este rango es muy buena no “molestándose” en ningún momento.
Agudos
En general las frecuencias agudas dejan un poco que desear para aquellos que les guste un tuning más brillante y con más cantidad de detalle. No obstante, esto es un punto muy positivo para sesiones de largas escuchas donde este IEM va a reproducir toda la biblioteca con una musicalidad excepcional. En “Black Magic” de Slayer (Live Undead), el platillo del baterista en los primeros 30 segundos nunca es ofensivo con el oído pero tiene buena presencia. En “Revelations” de Iron Maiden también la variedad de platillos que son ejecutados por el baterista durante los solos de guitarra se tienen presencia pero una muy tranquila sin ser agresivos ni brillantes.
Timbre
\Timbre: características distintivas entre los sonidos de los instrumentos/voces que nos permiten diferenciarlos entre sí.*
El timbre* de estos auriculares es algo que otras compañías tendrían que tomar nota. Entiendo que no es un tuning arriesgado al seguir la curva Harman pero los instrumentos se encuentran tan bien representados que a pesar de no ser el mejor IEM en términos de resolución/detalle se hacen comparables con otros que están muy por encima de su rango de precio gracias a la excelente ejecución del timbre. Todos los instrumentos “Invierno: Allegro non Molto” de Vivaldi - interpretada por Fabio Biondi, se distinguen excelentemente entre ellos, desde el violinista principal hasta los violonchelos y el contrabajo que acompañan al resto de violines.
Soundstage e imagen
\Imagen: precisión y claridad con la que se pueden ubicar sonidos en la mezcla.*
Como se mencionó anteriormente en la descripción de la respuesta en frecuencia, el soundstage o espacialidad del sonido está por encima del promedio. Canciones como “The Great Unknown” de Iron Maiden y “Bicycle Race” de Queen sacan a la luz que estos auriculares tienen un soundstage ancho y que puede ser profundo cuando debe serlo. En la segunda canción mencionada, se crea una escena tridimensional muy bien lograda ubicando a todos los coristas y la batería por detrás de Freddie, con uno de los platillos teniendo una presencia característica ubicándose atrás y a la derecha durante el estribillo.
Con respecto a la imagen*, este es uno de los pocos puntos débiles que le veo a los Zero. En “Alta Suciedad” de Calamaro me es difícil discernir entre las guitarras derecha e izquierda que tocan en la banda. Lo mismo sucede durante la introducción de la canción de Iron Maiden mencionada en el párrafo anterior.

7HZ Salnotes Zero vs KZ DQ6

DQ6 tiene más punch y rumble por tener una elevación más pronunciada en las frecuencias graves. Son comparables en los subgraves, Zero con un poco mejor de extensión en este rango.
La transición más “correcta” entre los graves y los medios hace que las voces e instrumentos suenen un poco más naturales en los 7hz en comparación.
Los agudos son dos polos opuestos en mi experiencia: los DQ6 tienen unos agudos brillantes por momentos que ayudan a crear esa sensación de detalle pero a cambio de pequeñas sibilancias molestas, mientras que los Zero tienen unos agudos más relajados/oscuros que no son tan detallados pero ayudan a su musicalidad.

Hola! Buen dia! Como estan? Bueno llendo al grano, tengo 38 años, vivo en CABA, aunque tengo otra casa en Zona Norte tambien. Tengo moto y auto. Tengo 2 laburos part time en blanco, total 8 hs de laburo, L a V, entre por concurso, sin contactos.
Tengo varios estudios, aprox 10 disciplinas diferentes entre carreras largas/cortas/cursos que fui haciendo. Y sigo estudiando varias cosas a la vez (no todas son pensando en laburar, aclaro).
Por ende: Estudio, Trabajo, Entreno (fisicamente). Uso las apps de citas casi todos los dias y me cuesta conseguir una mujer de 18-22 años que sea muy delgadita (como a mi me gustan) que quieraa una relacion seria donde yo siempre le seria fiel a ella (como lo fui en mis anteriores relaciones con jovenes de esa edad).
Que mas puedo hacer para conseguir pareja? Los escucho.

Si ustedes tuvieran la oportunidad de seguir trabajando en el área o comenzar a estudiar sistemas/estadística en la nacional, que elegirían? Analysis of Search Incidents and Lost Person Behavior in Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park is an American national park in the state of California.
Crampton (1988) described a continuum of being lost with two distinct degrees of lostness.
The 1st, and arguably the most serious, is defined as “unknown lost”.
This occurs when a person believed that they knew where they were, when in fact they didn't.
This could happen to a hiker if they arrived at a diverging trail and took one path, but misidentified the one they should have otherwise taken.
The hiker may continue on in a denial process, fitting the terrain to their expectations, rejecting any discrepancies.
Eventually, they will have realized the mistake they had made, and only then can they take action to correct their errors.
Lost people generally have two goals: to try to find their way or to try to be found (Cornell and Heth 1999).
Yosemite National Park is unlike any other place on earth. It has its own distinct geology,
One must first understand the environment, hazards, and underlying processes that influence a lost hikers' decisions.
The geology, geomorphology, climate, weather, hydrology, vegetation, fauna, history, park visitation, and potential hazards are all relevent here.
The data indicates that people don't get lost at random locations, rather they get lost after they arrive at pre-known locations.
In Yosemite Valley these “hot spot” areas exist at the Yosemite Valley rim, Glacier Point, Sentinel Dome, the Badger Pass Ski area as well as a few trailheads.
Conversely, lost hikers are also found at pre-known locations as well.
The same significant “hot spot” areas.
On the Pianista trail, River 1/508 would be an example of a well known location.
Where a diverging trail exists, is after crossing river 2, there is an open paddock.

The prevalance of hikers becoming lost -

In Yosemite Valley, 45% of hikers, whilst present on the trail, had identified themselves as being lost or agreed that they didn't know where they were.
This figure should probably be higher, but hikers are often too embarrased to admit to being lost.

For the most part, the lost incidents had a favorable outcome.
Of the 213 incidents, 68% resulted in the lost person/group being found uninjured and 23% were resolved by self-rescue.

Types of lost mitigation strategies used
In Yosemite, lost hikers who were in an active state of lostness typically attempted to follow a linear feature, in order to reorient themselves, or to become found.

The goal of Yosemite's PSAR program is to “help visitors avoid the need to be rescued by providing education about the hazards of hiking, and the time and equipment necessary to complete a planned hike
One of the most promising aspects of this report was the realization that watersheds may be used to predict the found locations for lost subjects.
A watershed is an area of land that drains all the streams and rainfall to a common outlet such as the outflow of a reservoir, mouth of a bay, or any point along a stream channel.
Watersheds are often used to draw search segments because ridges and streams provide natural borders for searchers in the field.
Kris and Lisanne very much underestimated their hike. It wasn't a pleasant afternoon trip, it was described as a walk in the park.
Alot of people posted to forums after this incident, and it's interesting to read the most revevent statements from 2014 that were the most accurate and well thought out:
"I've studied this case a great deal, and I think it's very possible that Kris and Lisanne didn't know that once you reach the summit, you're supposed to turn around and go down the way you came up. The El Pianista trail does not end at the summit"
"I believe they thought you're supposed to follow the trail down the other side of the mountain, and they probably also thought that it would take about as long to get down that side as it took them to get up the other side - about three hours."
"They might not have even been truly lost when they made their first 9-11 calls; they may have gotten lost only later in the evening, by travelling desperately in low light and darkness in an attempt to avoid spending the night in the jungle, perhaps leaving the trail to take "shortcuts."?"
"It is important to note that there are many paths made by the indigenous Ngobe tribes people, leading away from the official path, even locals and tour guides get regularly lost there and there are no signs that are indicating which path is the right one."
"These paths are well known for being incredibly dangerous (narrow, steep ascents/descents, slippy mud track and dangerous rope bridges) and are even avoided by the indigenous tribe at all costs."
"At this point it was already unlikely that they would meet another person there, since every local knows that they are otherwise risking their lives, by deviating onto these less traveled pathways."
"Oh, it's VERY possible to get lost on the El Pianista, and I'm speaking from experience! I hiked this same trail and got lost just 3 weeks ago while on vacation - signs at the base next to the restaurant even say it's prohibited to hike unless for scientific purposes. You have to cross two streams, and halfway up the trail it becomes practically nonexistent - once I got to the top, about a 3 hour hike without seeing one person, I lost track of the trail and lost my mind within seconds, and began running downhill completely lost - All the vegetation made it impossible to walk at times, I had to climb, crawl and scoot downhill for Two hours before I eventually wandered into someone's property and yelled for help."
"People do get lost. Sometimes fog can blanket the area and there's no visibility. A heavy rain can wash out trails. There can be confusion with game trails, because they are pathways that give the hiker the false impression that they are navicable."
Off The Beaten Path – Cerro de la Muerta
Consisting of steep, narrow curves and countless potholes, the mountain roads would be somewhat less hazardous if not fully submersed in fog. Due to its altitude, Cerro de la Muerte temperatures rise and fall to both day and night extremes.
Before Costa Rica had a lot of roads, people braved the treacherous mountain trails barefoot, on treks lasting three or four days, to secure supplies for their homes and livestock.
For many, Cerro de la Muerte was the worst part of a journey, many people didn't survive it.
With temperatures often below freezing, many travelers died of hypothermia along the trail or got sick and died of pneumonia later on, assuming they survived the frequent landslides and didn’t fall off any of the cliffs etc.
Sunburn danger here is higher than normal, owing to the thin clear air.
The road is usually open all year round, but flash floods, landslides, narrow curves, and steep cliffs make the pass extremely dangerous. There’s a reason this place is called the Mountain of Death.
Higher mountain peaks extend along the Cordillera de Talamanca, the region that the Pianista trail leads into.
Montane streams in the tropics are among the most extreme fluvial environments in the world. A combination of steep slopes, high mean annual rainfall, and intense tropical storms generate an energetic and powerful flow regime.
Much of the range and the area around it is included in La Amistad International Park, which also is shared between the two countries.
The highest peaks are present within Costa Rica and Panama.
Much of the Caribbean areas of this range are still unexplored.
Rapid runoff production generates flashy, frequent, short-duration floods and occasional high-magnitude floods associated with hurricanes and other tropical disturbances.
During the peak wet season, strong hydraulic forces are present within the stream channels.
The Changuinola is a river network with well-developed downstream hydraulic geometry.
Many alluvial rivers develop systematic changes in slope, channel geometry, and grain size, from their headwaters to the coast, in response to changes in discharge and sediment yield.

Quiero publicar y decir en reddit lo que me esta pasando realmente quisiera que me alguien me escuche y lo que me esta pasado literalmente nose si esto por es mi estado mental o realmente me esta sucediendo llevo 5 años en drogas y estado rodiado de personas y familiares y tiene contacto con el narco o con los vendedore, pero no consumo seguido es raro que consuma y realmente lo que me esta pasando es creo que llegue a una estapa que ya mi celebro no esta creo que bien, escucho voses y escucho me ofende me dicen de cosas enfermiza y siento que la gente me escuche y literalmente ya no puedo vivir como una persona normal siento que la gente me siguen o todo jira a mi arrededor y es visto comportamientos raros de la personas siento que puedo escuchar mi pensamiento y me dicen cosas que solo yo se, creo que me volvi loco llevo cuatro años que siento que todo jira ami alrededor desde que comenzó, llevo mucho tiempo llendo a psiquiatría y no me dio un buen resultado de mi problema solo me dio medicamentos para ezquizofrénia y realmente no me ayudo mucho aunque este sobrio siento que todo jira aun ami alrededor aun asi que este medicado siguen igual y enpese a tener depreciación por lo que me pasaba y e intentando suicidarme y e llegado a caer muy bajo literalmente ando desesperado por vivir mi vida normal y esto nunca parara, estoy horita en mi peor etapa de mi vida estoy callendo tan bajo que no quiero aserle caso a mi voses de mi cabeza,solo siento queda una 2 salidas empezar a matar gente o familia realmente siento que si los torturo algunas personas me diran que realmente quien me escucha y quien comenzo a hostigarme y la otra es suicidio e intentando matarme 3 y no lo e logrado por que no tengo los huevos es por siento que dolera vastante literalmente no hayo una soluciones cueretes, siento vergüenza que la gente sepa de mi vida y se rian, no puedo tener una rutina buena siento que me afecta en mi trabajo y no puedo vivir bien e empezado tener pasadillas e acudido a mi familia no me ayudo mucho sus consejos siento que me cren alguien peligroso y que no puede controlarme, me siento aveses un estorbo me quiero cambiar de ciudad siento que sera mejor pero tengo miedo que me sigan o maten a mi familia siento que es mi culpa por drogarme y por accidente los involucre en algo que le cuestas la vida o es talvez lo que pienso de mi alrededor y de como vivo realmente quisiera aserle una pregunta generalmente ¿se puede escuchar los pensamientos de una personas con una manica o con algo literalmente o objeto? 2023.05.28 12:35 teamcrazymatt Defending the Draft 2023: New England Patriots

No one can ever predict a Bill Belichick draft.
When people start assuming he’ll act based on his stereotypes (first-round trade down, OL early, no early WRs, all Alabama players or small school guys or guys from Rutgers), he’ll do the opposite. When the consensus is that he’ll shift away from those stereotypes, he’ll lean right into them.
So in observing mock drafts, both full and team-centric, there was a lot of accord that he would follow those stereotypes. (Adam Korsak, both a punter and from Rutgers, was EVERYWHERE.)
But then the end of April came.
Before then, New England had suffered a 2022 season full of embarrassment, from Matt Patricia and Joe Judge’s ineptitude at running the offense to a team that seemed to find new ways to lose in humiliating fashion (a certain ill-fated lateral sequence peak among them). The Patriots went from their dynastic reign as a team which would trounce their opponents in laughers to the team that everyone pointed and laughed at. Mac Jones’ Patricia- and Judge-sparked regression along with impressive cameo appearances by ‘22 rookie Bailey Zappe split the fanbase into Mac and Zappe camps, with sports media fueling the flame by spreading or outright fabricating rumors of Belichick shopping Mac, rumors which lasted through the first day of the draft. It was an ugly season and an uglier start to the offseason.
The franchise clearly needed to make changes in 2023, and changes started near the top. Patricia and Judge lost their roles, the former joining the Eagles coaching staff and the latter moving to lead special teams, a necessary move as this Belichick-led squad had plummeted to the lowest-ranked third unit. (More on that later.) Patricia had filled the dual roles of de facto offensive coordinator and facto offensive line coach, and filled both roles with the acumen of me designing plays in Backyard Football 2002, except I could actually design plays that resulted in touchdowns. Judge had manned the quarterbacks room, and given that Daniel Jones finally broke out for the Giants once Judge had been booted from mentoring him, you can guess how that went for Mac and the Pats. In his new role in charge of special teams, he has already cost the team two OTAs and Bill Belichick $50,000 for an offseason meetings violation, and has elevated his 2022 title of Co-Most Hated Man in Foxboro to Single Most Hated Man in Foxboro.
Anyway, New England needed to fill their old roles, and brought in:
Bill O’Brien, Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks Coach A long-time friend of Belichick’s, O’Brien returns for his second stint as Pats OC, having dictated the offense in Rob Gronkowski’s record-setting 2011 season. Additionally, O’Brien comes by way of running the offense and the QB room at the University of Alabama, which spawned Mac Jones. Mac regressed in 2022 after an impressive 2021, but recall that 2022 was under the abysmal leadership of Patricia (calling his plays) and Judge (his direct coach), a situation in which no one could develop. By bringing in his old OC and QB coach, Mac has been put in the best possible position to develop in ‘23, a position which will much more clearly give fans a vision of his future as an NFL quarterback. (And the playcalling will be legitimate! It’s been but a year and we have already forgotten what creativity, route concepts, and misdirection have looked like!)
Adrian Klemm, Offensive Line Coach Belichick’s first draft pick after taking the helm in New England in 2000, Klemm has joined the team after coaching at Oregon last year. He comes with a strong reputation at that coaching position, having headed a Ducks O-line that allowed just five sacks in 2022. Last season, the Patriots saw a regression from their veterans on the line, most notably in Trent Brown’s newfound flag-happiness, and first-round rookie guard Cole Strange put forth a mixed performance. Bringing in an actual offensive line coach gives the team the best chance to fix any issues that showed in ‘22 and to develop their young linemen.
Of course, coaching was not the only issue last season, as New England was criticized for their lack of talent on the roster. Of New England’s high-cash free agent class of 2021, only edge rusher Matthew Judon shined in both his seasons in Foxboro: neither tight end Jonnu Smith nor wideout Nelson Agholor ever got off the ground, tight end Hunter Henry regressed after a solid ‘21, and wideout Kendrick Bourne found himself suddenly in Patricia’s doghouse and off the field. Moves needed to be made as the calendar turned to free agency.
Notable Departures
S Devin McCourty (retired) The most prominent departure from the ‘22 squad, McCourty is one of many who can be termed a quintessential Patriot. A first-round cornerback out of Rutgers in 2010, D-Mac made the switch to safety in 2012 and locked down the position for the next decade. When he was on the verge of leaving the team in free agency in 2015, even reaching out to Belichick to say goodbye, Belichick signed him to a top-valued safety contract and kept him in red, white, and blue. His leadership and personality made him a joy to watch on the field and off, his personality showing itself especially well recently through interactions with his twin brother Jason, who played alongside him for the Patriots from 2018 to ‘20. Statistically, D-Mac ends his career with 35 interceptions, one shy of the franchise record, and 4 touchdowns (two picks, a kickoff return, and a blocked field goal return). We miss him already.
P Jake Bailey (released; signed with Miami) What a drop. After an All-Pro season in 2020, Bailey signed a four-year extension in 2022 only to become the worst statistical punter in the league. After he was injured, the Patriots brought in Michael Palardy, who managed to be even worse (personally, I blame the team’s curse that comes with the jersey number 17). Neither punter remains with the team, Bailey joining an AFC East rival in the Dolphins and Palardy currently unsigned.
TE Jonnu Smith (traded to Atlanta) There is a strong case to be made that Smith is the worst free agency signing Belichick has made as Pats GM. In the two years since inking a 4-year, $50 million deal, Smith totaled just 55 catches for 539 yards and one touchdown, and a ‘22 restructure of his contract meant that Smith appeared to be a monetary albatross the Patriots would not be able to shake loose. What led to Atlanta agreeing to take on his whole contract, sending New England a seventh-round pick to get the player, I have no idea, but I think every Pats fan would agree that Smith didn’t work out in the least and a change was best for all sides.
WR Jakobi Meyers (signed with Las Vegas) Meyers’ departure was somewhat shocking, as the 2019 UDFA had worked his way up to the top of the Patriots’ wide receiver depth chart. More of a big slot guy than an outside #1, Meyers had a minor role in his rookie season and started 2020 at the bottom of the depth chart, but injuries to the players above him got him onto the field, and a 12-catch, 169-yard performance against the Jets that November meant he wasn’t leaving it anytime soon. While not possessing top-tier speed or explosiveness, Meyers was the team’s best route runner and separator, and his departure left another void that needed to be filled.
QB Brian Hoyer (released, signed with Las Vegas) Hoyer was third on the depth chart, Zappe having shown enough to take the #2 spot. While a fine veteran mentor, the Patriots chose to go a different direction with that third QB role.
WR Nelson Agholor (signed with Baltimore) Agholor was given a two-year contract in 2021 with the anticipation of his being the #1 receiver, something which did not happen due to his unreliable hands and separation abilities. For those two years and $22 million, Agholor produced 68 catches, 835 yards, and five touchdowns. Not worth it.
RB Damien Harris (signed with Buffalo) By far the most productive member of the Patriots’ atrocious 2019 draft class, Harris was good in New England but had been passed on the depth chart by sophomore Rhamondre Stevenson midway through 2022. Couple that with Belichick’s predilection to let running backs walk instead of giving them second contracts, sprinkle in a dash of two ‘22 draft picks (Pierre Strong Jr. and Kevin Harris) who will get more opportunities in 2023, top it off with the return of Ty Montgomery II from injured reserve, and it’s no surprise that Harris is no longer a Patriot.
T Isaiah Wynn (signed with Miami) Another former first-round pick, Wynn was all right as a left tackle though was criticized for frequent injury problems; with his fifth-year option picked up for ‘22, he was inexplicably switched to right tackle, where he was very bad. He never really earned the role of franchise tackle, so it was expected that the Patriots would let him walk.

WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (via Kansas City) After Meyers signed with the Raiders, the Patriots worked quickly to bring in his replacement in the slot. Smith-Schuster revived his career in Kansas City and is now in position to be a primary target for Mac for the next three seasons, possessing more explosiveness and speed than his predecessor. The biggest concern with JuJu is his durability, but I believe the Patriots have made preparations in the draft (spoiler) in case that becomes a significant problem. The fanbase is excited for Smith-Schuster on the field in Foxboro, and deservedly so.
RB James Robinson (via New York (the green side)) A one-time breakout UDFA in Jacksonville, Robinson’s role diminished with the rise of Travis Etienne Jr.; after being traded to the Jets, Robinson never got settled into a role. In New England, Robinson is likely first in line for the #2 RB spot behind Stevenson, an important role given that Stevenson’s overwork saw his productivity decline as last season came to an end. Robinson also possesses the pass-catching versatility that Belichick loves, a role Harris was never used in but Stevenson is, further suggesting he can have a significant spot on the field for the Pats.
TE Mike Gesicki (via Miami) As Smith never worked out as the co-#1 TE, here comes Gesicki. A pure pass catcher at the position, Gesicki has the size and hands to be a reliable target in the red zone, and should pair nicely with Henry for a potential TE-heavy formation as the team approaches the goal line.
T Riley Reiff (via Chicago) T Calvin Anderson (via Denver) While neither comes with the contract expectation of being a long-term solution at either tackle spot, the hope is that Reiff (expected to start at RT) will be an upgrade over Wynn, while Anderson serves as a reliable swing tackle who can start if needed.
LB Chris Board Jr. (via Detroit) Remember that awful special teams unit? Board is one of the NFL’s top special teamers, a player Belichick singled out when New England faced the Lions last year. It’s unsurprising he brought in such a veteran to help solidify the unit after… just all of last year.
QB Trace McSorley (via Arizona) By bringing in McSorley in Hoyer’s stead, the team is showing a bit of a shift in philosophy with how it is using its backup QB spots. Both Mac and Zappe are pocket passers; McSorley does most of his work outside the pocket and can run with regularity, a trend more common among top-level quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. At minimum, he’s worth a camp spot, and that’s fine.
P Corliss Waitman (via Denver) Following the implosion of Bailey and Palardy at punter, the Patriots were on the verge of entering the draft with none on the roster. Waitman is a veteran addition there, but pretty much everyone expected New England to add a punter either as a draft pick or UDFA. (Another spoiler – my bad.)
After this free agency, many saw the Patriots as still having holes at the top of their depth chart at wideout, tackle, and cornerback. Tight end was also considered a need as New England, despite adding Gesicki to pair with Henry, does not have a tight end signed beyond 2023, entering the draft with only Matt Sokol and Scotty Washington behind their name duo.

Draft Picks
TRADE: 1-14 to PIT for 1-17 and 4-120 Although this trade was criticized for receiving too little back from Pittsburgh, it was not a major loss in capital according to the Rich Hill value chart (325 points to PIT, 320 to NE), and it came with enough high-level talent on the board that the Patriots were sure to get one of their targets. The way the board fell, fans most wanted Christian Gonzalez, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Zay Flowers, or Broderick Jones; when the Steelers took Jones, it became clear that the Patriots were not interested in him (reports came out that the Patriots had not been interested in Jones at all due to coachability concerns), but they were sure to land an exciting player after moving down only three spots rather than the seven-plus many mockers had predicted. Additionally, the Steelers landing Jones appeared to knock the Jets’ war room for a loop (though later video has shown that the Jets were expecting the trade), and the only thing New England fans love more than a victory is an opportunity to screw over the Jets.
1-17: Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon The Patriots’ selection of Gonzalez received universal acclaim, and it’s easy to see why. Despite having strong CB depth, the Patriots lacked a true #1 corner; Gonzalez has the ability, length, and athleticism to be that from Day One. The first-round pick via Colorado and Oregon was widely projected as a top-10 selection, so for New England to land him at 17 is a tremendous coup. From his interviews and his play style, Gonzalez seems like a quiet guy off the field who wants to shut the opponent down when on the turf. He’ll be fun to watch.
2-46: Keion White, ED, Georgia Tech White is another player falling under the new Patriots draft umbrella under Belichick and Matt Groh: as athletic as can be. While he is raw, White has the athleticism to play three downs along the defensive line and the versatility to move inside when the situation calls for it. The Patriots thought so highly of him that he was a player they were considering drafting in the first round, even considering a move back into the last picks of the round to snag him, but landed him at 46 anyway. How much he will play as a rookie is uncertain as New England has a very good edge duo in Matthew Judon and Josh Uche, but even if White has to take a year to get acclimated to the NFL, that’s not unheard of in Foxboro and has produced success for highly-touted picks: neither Nate Solder (first round) nor Trey Flowers (fourth round) took on long-term starting roles as rookies (though Solder filled in at right tackle plenty), but were established starters in their second years. Similarly, Uche (second round) started off as an occasionally-used part of a pass rushing rotation before hitting double-digit sacks last year, his third season in the league. And if White earns significant playing time in 2023, all the better.
3-76: Marte Mapu, LB, Sacramento State Here’s that small-school selection that detractors tend to point at regarding Belichick, but Mapu has elite potential. I got tipped off to Mapu late in the pre-draft cycle, and watching film of him I was reminded a lot of Kyle Dugger, another small-school Day 2 player who has turned into an excellent Patriot. Mapu is going to play linebacker, likely his best position, and fill the role of coverage ‘backer that New England has lacked for several seasons. He’s also athletic and scheme-versatile, having spent time at safety and linebacker while at Sacramento State, so he will be able to move around the defensive formation if the situation calls for it. Add to that his tackling, his closing speed, and his containment, and you’ve got yourself a potential stud.
4-107: Jake Andrews, C, Troy The Patriots need their future long-term center with David Andrews now 31 and having an injury history, and Jake Andrews (unrelated) is set up perfectly to be that guy. Andrews the Younger is built in the same mold as Andrews the Elder: both exited college as smaller in stature than other centers but able to get a push on defensive linemen from below, meaning Jake can easily learn specific bits of technique from David. While not expected to play the role immediately, [anagram: Ned Was a Jerk] is now in position to spend time behind [anagram: Swan Diver Dad], preparing himself to take over at center in the near future.
TRADE: 4-120 and 6-184 to NYJ for 4-112 4-112: Chad Ryland, K, Maryland This is not the first time Belichick has selected a kicker in the fourth round, selecting Stephen Gostkowski with pick 118 in 2006; with the Patriots in desperate need for a strong player at the position, moving up to make sure they could land him makes sense (especially with Jake Moody being selected by the 49ers at 3-99). And Ryland is what Nick Folk is not: a big-legged kicker with kickoff ability. Folk has been appreciated in New England for his accuracy, but his distance and accuracy notably declined in 2022, and when forced to kick off, his lack of touchback distance led to trouble, the Patriots surrendering a league-high three kick return touchdowns (including two in the season finale). It’s clear an upgrade at kicker was a requirement this offseason; with Moody gone, giving up a sixth to move up eight spots is absolutely fine. In doing so, New England has hopefully landed their kicker for the next decade.
4-117: Sidy Sow, G, Eastern Michigan At this point, it may be considered confusing for the Patriots to have drafted a left guard in Sow when last year’s first-round pick Cole Strange is entrenched there and Mike Onwenu mans right guard at an elite level, but Groh’s post-draft comments indicated the team would give Sow opportunities at left tackle as well. And not only does Sow have experience at left tackle, he has the size at 6’5” and 326 pounds. New England’s projected starting tackles are veterans Trent Brown and Riley Reiff, both of whom are over 30 and are in contract years; if Sow returns to the position, the former mauling EMU Eagle (heh, two birds) offensive lineman could ease the need at tackle for next offseason.
TRADE: 4-135 to LV for 5-144 and 6-214 5-144: Atonio Mafi, G, UCLA Another interior lineman? Yes. Mafi is a guard whom the Patriots worked with at the Shrine Bowl, and has the versatility to move between left and right guard. As the aforementioned Onwenu is in a contract year, Mafi has a clear path to a potential starting job in 2024, and the most important thing right now for the development of Mac Jones is keeping him upright. By selecting three offensive linemen – using a quarter of their 12 selections on the offensive trench – Belichick and Groh have signaled their intent to do just that. From all accounts, Mafi, who met with New England in a pre-draft visit, is thrilled to join the team; now it’s about proving it on the field.
6-187: Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU Boutte is the epitome of a boom-or-bust prospect, his elite 2020 and ‘21 being overshadowed by a disappointing 2022 that dropped him from clear first-rounder to a middle-of-Day-3 selection. As a freshman and sophomore, Boutte looked to follow in the footsteps of highly-drafted LSU wideouts such as Odell Beckham Jr., Justin Jefferson, and JaMarr Chase, showing a complete package of agility, speed, and route running. Unfortunately, an injury plus conflicts with his new coach Brian Kelly led to underperformance, and a poor combine performance cemented his draft stock as having drastically fallen. But if he can get back to his earlier form, where his talent and athleticism led to a combined 83 receptions, 1244 yards, and 14 touchdowns in his first two college seasons, Boutte could become the steal of the draft.
6-192: Bryce Baringer, P, Michigan State While New England had signed Corliss Waitman so as to have a punter on the roster heading into the draft, none assumed he was the long-term answer; when the Patriots made Baringer the first punter taken in the 2023 draft, it became clear who was. A walk-on turned cut turned best punter in college football, Baringer has a booming leg that showed itself in an average punt length of 49.0 yards in ‘22; he also holds the Michigan State record for career punting average at 46.0 yards. As a bonus, he worked with Ryland at the Senior Bowl, so the two have already begun to develop chemistry in the holding game. As another bonus, he wore No. 99 in college, and that is awesome.
6-210: Demario Douglas, WR, Liberty When one imagines a typical Patriots slot receiver – small, shifty, and explosive with the ball in his hands – one might well be imagining Douglas. The five-foot-eight Liberty product can absolutely fly, moving all around the formation and catching balls at all levels of the field. New Englanders got a preview of what Douglas’ game might look like when rookie cornerback Marcus Jones began to take snaps on offense last year; Jones was often put in motion before the snap, worked out of the backfield, and assigned touches where his elusiveness was the spark to gain yards. Douglas has said he models his game after Jones, a claim that demonstrates itself when one views his collegiate tape. I had a third-round grade on Douglas, so the Patriots landing him at 210 is a thrill. (Even though the Giants took one of my draft crushes in Tre Hawkins III the pick before, for which I’m still irked.)
6-214: Ameer Speed, CB, Michigan State The unknown about Speed is whether he will develop on defense; that is not his skill at the moment. There are three things known: his size (6’3”, 210 lbs.), his speed (4.34s 40), and his special teams prowess. With longtime special teams captain Matthew Slater likely entering his last year, the Patriots need to develop a new crop of special teams standouts, long a hallmark of Belichick’s Patriots from the time of Larry Izzo. Last year’s UDFA Brenden Schooler looks like one of those players already; Speed will certainly be given every chance possible to be another.
7-245: Isaiah Bolden, CB, Jackson State More tall athletic cornerbacks! The only HBCU selection in the 2023 draft, Bolden is an incredible athlete who likely earned his way to a draft selection by lighting up his Pro Day. Though just a role player on defense, Bolden has developmental traits that any defensive coach would love, and has also been a top collegiate kick returner, leading all of college football in 2021 with a 36.9-yard average on kickoff returns. I don’t see the two late-round cornerback selections as “throw players on the field and see who sticks” à la the ill-fated dual tight end picks of Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene in 2020’s third round, but selecting players who might have longer chances to succeed, but if they do succeed can truly shine.
Though Bolden was the last of the Patriots’ 2023 draft picks, that did not conclude their rookie class as the period of UDFA signings immediately began. The Patriots have had an undrafted rookie make the Week 1 roster every year since 2004; with just a four-man class this season, chances are slim. They’re not impossible – their only 2021 UDFA, kicker Quinn Nordin, made it – but they’re definitely slimmer. Here are the four who can continue that streak.
Undrafted Rookies
Malik Cunningham, QB, Louisville The most expensive ($200,000) and well-known of the quartet, Cunningham’s slight build and arm as a quarterback led to piles of speculation of his switching positions. However, he has started off his Patriots tenure as a quarterback in rookie minicamp, so he remains a quarterback until further notice. Throughout college, Cunningham’s most intriguing asset has been his supreme athleticism at the position, something which showed up in testing, and it remains to be seen how the Patriots will use that athleticism to help the team. (It may be a good while until outside sources get a look, as minicamp and OTAs have thus far been closed off to the media.)
Johnny Lumpkin, TE, Louisiana-Lafayette After foregoing using a selection on a tight end in a deep draft class (another Belichick trend), New England instead brought in Lumpkin, who projects as a blocking tight end in the NFL. This offsets the biggest negative, his age (he’ll be 26 to start the season), as the Patriots lack a true blocker at the position. Whether Lumpkin can take advantage of this path to a roster spot remains to be seen, but his road to making the team as an undrafted rookie seems easiest at the moment.
Jourdan Heilig, LB, Appalachian State Like Board and Speed, Heilig joins the Patriots as a special teams standout, playing minimal defense as a Mountaineer (three snaps in 2022) but standing out in college on the third unit (210 snaps in 2022). He’ll have a chance to follow in the path of Schooler as a UDFA who makes his mark as a core special teamer.
Justus Tavai, DL, San Diego State The middle of the Tavai brothers (older brother Jahlani is a Patriots linebacker, younger brother Jonah signed with Seattle as a UDFA), Justus played alongside Jonah on the Aztec defensive line in 2022. While Jonah put up eye-popping numbers with double-digit sacks, Justus was a steady contributor as well, putting up 3.5 sacks and intercepting a pass. Tavai is the ninth man on the Patriots’ defensive line right now, so he has a difficult path if he wants to make the team.
He’s not an undrafted rookie, but the Patriots have also brought in veteran free agent Anthony Firsker, TE to compete with Lumpkin, Sokol, and Washington for the third tight end spot, the roster spot opened with their losing reserve Raekwon McMillan, LB to a partially torn Achilles tendon.

Conclusion Is this a perfect Patriots team? No. There are still long-term holes at offensive tackle and tight end, and there is a question mark as to who can be that pass catcher whom defensive coordinators have to plan for, a player the team has lacked for several seasons.
But is this an exciting Patriots roster, a team who has a chance to exceed their middling projections and expectations, a team worth watching and cheering for? Absolutely. Belichick and company have stabilized the coaching staff; added explosive, athletic players at nearly every position; brought in a new crew of players to take over special teams; and begun their draft with three players who could not only start in the NFL but have the potential to star. I fully believe that this is not an 8-9 caliber team, even in an AFC East with three other teams that have added big name after big name.
As Bill Belichick might say, we’re on to 2023.
We’re on to victory.

¡Hola!
Yanxi Palace es una de mis series históricas favoritas. Tiene una gran protagonista, buenas actuaciones, un vestuario precioso, buenas intrigas y giros de guion interesantes que nos dejan pegadas a la pantalla.
Cuando terminé la serie me sentí muy triste y me puse a buscar historias similares ¿os ha pasado? Os traigo aquí algunos títulos que son un poco parecidos, al menos tratan los mismos temas.

1. Yanxi Palace Princess Adventures

Este título es importante porque es LA CONTINUACIÓN de Yanxi Palace. Son unos pocos capítulos que cuentan la historia de la hija de Wei Yingluo y el emperador Qianlong. Es necesario ver primero Yanxi Palace para enterarse. Merece la pena, también tiene actuaciones muy buenas y recupera a los protagonistas originales. Se iba a hacer otra temporada con otra de las hijas de Wei Yingluo pero al parecer no se siguió adelante con el proyecto.

2. Ruyi's royal love in the palace

Esta serie de corte histórico nos lleva otra vez al harén del emperador Qianlong pero a diferencia de Yanxi Palace aquí la protagonista es Ruyi del clan Ula-Nara (la villana en Yanxi) . Es más fiel a lo que se conoce de la historia.
El ritmo no es igual que en Yanxi, es más pausado pero la recomiendo mucho, mejora increíblemente con el paso de los capítulos y la amistad que hay entre las mujeres es preciosa. También hay intrigas y aporta otro tipo de perspectiva sobre la misma historia.
En mi caso esas son las 2 más similares que he encontrado. Hay otros títulos muy buenos de intriga política también, como Royal Nirvana, o de juegos políticos del harén, como La historia de Ming Lang pero los que están realmente relacionados con Yanxi Palace son esos dos.

Hola ¿Cómo andan? Este no es un post preguntando que lenguaje puedo estudiar. Va un poco más allá de eso me gustaría escuchar opiniones, yo me la banco que por favor no sean mala leche. Escribo acá porque en general me parece que son respetuosos. Ahora sí. Soy estudiante de Medicina. Pero siempre me gustó mucho la tecnología. Cuando era adolescente me plantee si estudiar ingeniería en sistemas porque me gustaba lo que se podía hacer en ese campo, pero nunca tuve constancia para estudiar por fuera de la escuela. Para mí la escuela siempre fue prioridad de hecho me iba bien pero nunca me daba tiempo para aprender a programar. Empecé estudiando ingeniería en electrónica en la UTN de Córdoba pero me sentí mal sentí que no iba a poder y dejé. No estaba bien mentalmente y desde ese momento continué yendo a la psicóloga. Cuando estaba en Córdoba me dije que me gustaba mucho el rubro de la salud. Tengo algunos problemas de salud que contaré más adelante. Dejo la UTN y me pasó a la UBA a estudiar. Y finalmente me defino por Medicina. Me va bien. Estoy en cuarto. Pero siento que quiero introducirme en el mundo de la programación nuevamente. Existe una residencia en informática médica que tiene materias de programación pero no estoy seguro si es lo que quiero, pienso que necesito algo más. Eso lo podría estudiar una vez que termine la carrera, me faltan más o menos 2 años. Lo que estuve haciendo este último tiempo es tratar de apender por mí cuenta las bases de la programación, estuve viendo los videos de maxi programa y haciendo un cursito de pensamiento computacional. Entré en el codo a codo en full stack Python, hice proyectos pero lo deje por falta de tiempo. Pero me gustó. Ahora sigo con estos cursos pero siempre aparace el miedo a pensar que no puedo aprender que es muy difícil, que no se bien que hacer, sumado a que la carrera no me permite tener la constancia que creo que hay que tener para estudiar programación. Ahora viene la parte de mí salud. Hace un año y media empecé diálisis, parte de un proceso de 20 años donde yo sabía que en algún momento me iba a tocar y ahí mi mentalidad cambió. Si bien yo pienso que se puede contribuir de cualquier manera la sociedad, la carrera de médico me hizo pensar siempre en ayudar a los demás de una manera altruista, eso era lo que me llenaba en ese momento. Pero luego de diálisis siento que ya no pienso tanto en los demás y pienso más en mí, en mí futuro, y la carrera de médico es muy demandante física y mentalmente. Yo sabía en donde me metía pero no sabía que entrar en diálisis me iba a cambiar tanto alguna manera de ver las cosas. Tampoco digo que la carrera de un ingeniero o programador no lo sea, no lo sé, pero pienso que me daría otra calidad de vida ya que eso es lo que busco ahora, tener estabilidad y estar más tranquilo. Se que este rubro tiene sus cosas y que puede ser desgastante mentalmente pero créanme que en Medicina ves cosas que te movilizan todo el tiempo y te tenés que desensibilizar un poco para soportarlo. ¿Ahora que quiero? No sé, estoy tratando de llevar ambas cosas a la par. Por ahora estoy perdido y siento que necesito un empujoncito. Actualmente me siento un poco mal porque tengo 26 y siento que ya debería estar trabajando pese a que mi situación un poco lo dificulta porque con el estudio y la diálisis no tengo tiempo. Hasta hace poco había sentido que logré un equilibrio en mí vida pero ahora de nuevo siento como eso se empieza a tambalear. Así que busco ayuda. Cualquier opinión del tema o pregunta sirve. What El Niño means for the 2023 hurricane season ~

National forecasters recently upped the chances that a “potentially significant” El Niño will form soon. Also scheduled to start soon, on June 1, is hurricane season. The strength and location of storms we see could be influenced by the return of El Niño for the first time in years.
While El Niño can strengthen hurricane season in the central and eastern Pacific, it tends to contribute to weaker hurricanes forming in the Atlantic basin. During La Niña years, the opposite is true.
Hurricane season in the Atlantic and central Pacific runs from June 1 to Nov. 30 every year. The eastern Pacific’s season starts a bit earlier, on May 15. The strongest storms are usually observed between mid-August and mid-October.

Pbs la otra mirada season 2

Watched APES TOGETHER STRONG last night. Honest and pretty-detailed review, in this post. Hopefully the Mulligans read this. (I'll also be posting as much as I can on Amazon reviews, to assist the other reviews in getting the average American to become a little curious).

That's all I can think of for now. Thank you to the Mulligans for making this. I have no problem paying $16 or $20 or $30 for a sequel. Hurry up with it.
