I met this guy through another guy I use to go too school with, we introduced ourselves started to chat had lots of interests in the same things such as video games,heavy music and combatsports he was even nice enough at the time to help me get a job when I was in need so we became co-workers/friends he use to joke around alot with me like alot of buddies do BUT! It went from being funny too going way too far in a matter of years. All he ever wanted to do on weekends was drink drink, he is immature by hitting me in the face with shaving cream,he use too laugh at me all the time whenever I was coughing like crazy or was having a bad day, his roommate and friends were no matter as they would judge me and give me dirty looks because I mentioned that I was Bi. His roommate attacked me all because he couldn't take a joke back to the guy himself he was giving off some homophobic vibes an example is he thought it was "gay" that two guys were to walk into a porn store and even watching Netflix together, he'd always harrass me at work I told him to stop but he never saw anything wrong with what he was doing, he even had the nerve to call me out in front of everyone all because I wasn't apparently playing the right rules of battleship. I disassociate from him because he wasn't exactly buddy material,fast forward to yesterday he hit me up on Insta, I asked him what he wanted and was being a smartass about it. I stepped my foot down and told him I'm sorry but I'm no longer interested in being friends anymore so after that he blocked me.. I don't understand why some people don't take any accountability for their actions or think that it's ok to treat people like shit all for their own sick amusement. I think I'm better off without him and his stupid friends.

I bought a new 2018 Rav4 Hybrid SE a little over 4 years ago and this past month the power liftgate stopped working. It beeps teice when using the button in the drivers seat or either button on the door as if there is an object obstructing it from closing. After making sure the sensors are not pushed in, trying the height reset, vehicle setting power off/on and other online fixes I finally went to the dealer and was told I needed to replace both struts (part numbers 68910-49135 and 68920-49135). The service advisers also mentioned these parts fail pretty often and are badly designed. They said that after market parts are cheaper and are no worse than the OEM Toyota parts (~$300 each). I haven't found an aftermarket part that says it is a replacememt for those part numbers but have had after market stores (fridayparts.com) say that part numbers 68920-09080 and 68910-09110 (~$250 pair) are compatible. I'm wondering if anyone has had the pleasure of this repair and has any advice or suggestions. I've had other cars with power trunks with no problems and didnt expect such bad quality from Toyota.

 | My partner and I both have inflatable boards & are looking for a way to lock in our yard. We live in an apartment and can’t store them inside, we have a shed in the yard but it’s too full of bikes etc. we found a spot to tuck them behind some bushes and trees against a fence in the backyard which isn’t visible by the street and is behind the gazebo. We’ve covered them with tarps as well. Wondering if anyone has any ideas of how we can lock them just in case? There are some grommets on both boards (pictured) you could string something through but could cut the plastic part if you really wanted to get at the boards. Mine also has three fins, one that’s removable and the other has one removable fin if there’s anything we could do there. We live in a fairly safe area but just want to be careful as they are a costly investment. They’re also awkward to carry and get out of yard if someone really wanted to steal & if deflated they make a really loud noise anyway that might scare a thief off. I have been trying to think of ways to get gender affirming clothes secretly. I live in a rural area so I can’t just go to the shops, and I wouldn’t have the confidence to do that anyway. I can’t order from amazon because my parents would get the parcel before me, and there is no way I can make sure I would get it before them. Luckily, there is an amazon locker fairly nearby, but my bank transactions are tracked by my parents. Then finally, I thought I could do it with an amazon gift card, but again I live rurally and can not go to a shop to buy one…
I think I’m out of options and I’m sort of devastated, I really thought I was getting close to buying my own clothes and now I feel like it’s forever out of reach :(
How else can I get rid of dysphoria? Or is there another way to get clothes that I can’t think of?

I want to clarify here. I go out with her all the time. She's upset because I sometimes go out because I know it'll make her happy, and not because I specifically want to go. Her and her friends all speak chinese as their first language. So 90% of the time I'm staring at a wall. Then when people do speak English, I feel like it's just for my sake and it feels like I'm burdening everyone. That's not to say I don't ever have fun, but it's not something that seems appealing and does require a bit of energy that I don't always have because I spend a lot of time really trying to read body language and social cues, if you can call it that. It also seems like I'm very rarely meeting the same group of people, which just compounds things.
We just fought because she's going to celebrate her friend's baby's 1 month. I mean... seriously? I have a physically demanding job, our new cat favores me and doesn't let me sleep more than 2 hours straight, and the lack of sleep caused me to injure my wrist. I'm not in good shape, so I said no. But I said I'd go if she really wants me to go or if this is going to be a very "couple-y" event where she'll feel left out. Every time she said it won't be and it's okay, it's just a lunch thing.
She calls me from her car and starts guilt tripping me saying that she feels like it'll be like this all the time. We've been together for two years and I think I've actually said no to go out maybe three times. So she said it's because she wants me to want to go. But I said I'll throw on clothes and go and she told me no because she doesn't want me to be bored. I'm going to be surrounded by people speaking a language I don't understand, at an event to celebrate something I find utterly pointless. I can't even force this one.
I also want to point out that we don't just sit at home all day. We do a lot that we both enjoy. Kayaking, motorcycle trips, shooting at a range, ice climbing, hiking, skydiving... plenty of adventurous stuff. It's specifically these particular social outings where everyone is speaking chinese and the only activity to do is talk.
So, reddit, I ask you. What am I missing? There's clearly something in between the lines that I'm failing to grasp.

I live with my mom and all I want for the shared/visible spaces is for her to respect that I have a lower threshold for visual abundance than what's happening currently. I can cope with how the display items in shared spaces have to be things that she likes because I only hate the amount.
My own space is a bit cluttered, but my struggle is partly that she didn't leave me much in the way of hidden storage. (Someone suggested that I replace my shelving with cabinets, which I will look at again but declutter comes before investing a lot in a storage overhaul.) Open space is not at a premium, so it's not like I'm tripping over my stuff unless I choose to.
I could remove everything unnecessary for daily life from my bedroom, which is six pairs of shoes, my clothes, my TV, and my computedesk is only still in here because it's still too cold to be in the unheated room.
My fantasy self owns a lot of art supplies and we want to try nearly everything before either passing it on, (or throwing it out if I determine that it's too old to pass on conscientiously.) Some of it stuff that I used to like. However, we don't even draw because some mornings I get overwhelmed by the time I've prepared my first cup of coffee. I have my own dining table in a room that's larger than the 2.5 car garage, so it's not like I don't physically have enough room to work. I used to cope with less space due to it being 90% filled instead of maybe 30%.
I'm toying with the idea of tossing out everything that I don't use right now to be more ascetic/minimalist because it's likely that the visual overwhelm won't change even if I get rid of all the things that I don't absolutely need. What's stopping me from already having done it is hope that things would change, and why should I take stuff away from my fantasy-self when I can't imagine that it will make a dent? (The value in the art supplies right now is mostly that I can tell fantasy-self that we already have one at home when she gets excited and wants to buy something. I let the sketchbooks/notebooks get on the edge of ridiculous before putting my foot down because I didn't notice the point of enough.)

There’s so many things I have on hand that I never use but have kept because I might use them in the future. Something that has helped me is going to the dollar store and realizing how many of these things I keep just in case are available for a few dollars at the dollar store. This has allowed me to embrace the $20/20 minutes tip and basically make my own question - if I don’t plan on using it in the next year (6 months whatever), and I can get it at the dollar store than I get rid of it. I’d rather let the dollar store keep these things than they take up space.
And then I usually am able to get rid of them on my Buy Nothing group so, I’m not just trashing stuff to buy again in the future.
*As an aside the irony of having to use unnecessary extra words in my title to meet a mining character requirement in a decluttering sub!
