Im 33+3. On Friday I was feeling super exhausted, I took a nap in the afternoon, fell asleep after dinner on the couch, woke up to test and immediately went back to bed, skipping my evening snack and walk. Saturday around 12:30am I woke up feeling super crampy, sick and uncomfortable and not able to sleep at all. I threw up a few times, called my midwives around 3am as I was feeling like I had been kicked in the kidney. I went in to get checked out and everything was fine, baby is still healthy and happy! Around 6am I was feeling a little better but absolutely exhausted. I tested my fasting number before going to bed and had 5.3, and I'm supposed to be below 5.3. Wasn't really concerned as I knew I had a stressful night. I slept all day Saturday! My first and only meal was a small cup of borscht soup at 2:30. I tested at 4:30 and was in range but on the lower side at 4.4, went back to bed. I slept through the entire night, woke up this morning around 8 and felt like a human again, I tested my sugars fully expecting to be high since I did absolutely no physical activity, had an extremely long fast, and only ate a very small meal the day before and tested at 4.6! Super strange, I can't wait to have my baby and get this placenta out of me.

This just started happening today, so idk if Nintendo dropped the ball in an update, but it’s obnoxious. I’ll land one of my hovering vehicles near a Frox or whathaveyou in the depths. After fighting the enemy, carefully making sure none of its attacks go near where I landed my vehicle, I‘ll check and find that the vehicles gone.
I know it’s not because I’m going too far away, because I’ve gone over a hundred meters away from my vehicle without it despawning.
I’ve fought literally dozens of monsters with my vehicle parked nearby, and until today it’s only despawned when they hit it with an attack.
Any idea why this just started happening all of the sudden?

I have a Weber Genesis 320 probably about 12 years old in mostly in decent shape. One of the burners is rusted and works improperly and needs replacement. So I figured why not replace all the burners and put new life back into this old grill. But at this point all the burners are stuck in place because it's impossible to remove the screws holding them in place. (See images)
Here is what I've tried so far with no success
Drilling a small hole then using a screw extractor
Heating with a torch then spraying with WD40
I've thought about using a hacksaw and cutting the burners in half then removing them, but I don't think I can manage to install the new ones without somehow removing and replacing these rusted stripped out screws.

Bryan Caplan, a noted libertarian economist, wrote an interesting criticism of Georgism that I'd like to address; unfortunately I cannot find my source anymore (I believe it was a blog post) and all I have is a single quote but I'd like to analyze it anyway.
Caplan proposes a thought experiment:

If you’re the second person to arrive on an island, and the first-person has already farmed the best land, it seems very odd to claim that you’re “entitled” to half the surplus value of his land.

"Alone on an island" is a popular thought experiment to underline the fundamental characteristics of various economic schools.
In this case I agree with Caplan and would consider this thought experiment to be somewhat of a strawman. However, I like the idea of thought experiments as a mean to present an argument, so I will entertain Caplan's idea and expand on it.
Let's say that a person is stranded on a deserted island. Over time, they work to improve its land so it will bear food; after a while a second person arrives on the island. We will assume that the produce of the land is enough to sustain both, else there's be no way to reconcile the needs of the two.
Doesn't it seems unfair to simply divide the produce in two? After all, it is only the first person that made improvements and worked on the land, and without their intervention, it wouldn't be as productive. On the other hand it also seems unfair, at least to me, to leave the late-comer at the mercy of the first and state that the first has no obligation to share the resources. In an extreme proprietarian setting we'd say that the first-comer has homesteaded the land and it now belongs to them and if they want they'd leave the late-comer to starve. Of course, if such a condition were to present itself in the real world, I suspect the first man would be all too happy to simply see another human being and he'd be more than willing to cooperate; but this is not the point of the experiment.
I believe Caplan is mistaken in his assumption of the georgist response. I, personally, wouldn't claim that the second person is entitled to the work of the first, they are only entitled to the land. If we assume that both men have equal rights to the land then the solution to the puzzle becomes more straightforward: the first-comer can surrender to them half of the land or, alternatively, pay a price to the late-comer (presumably in produce) that they agree on, in exchange for the exclusive right to continue managing all of the land (taking into account the land improvements made by the pioneer). If the late-comer agrees to work the land himself he will surrender a part of his produce to the first as payment for the improvements made by them in the past.
I am sure someone will think that it's impossible to perfectly divide the land in two equal parts as land is heterogeneous in nature. But we're not here to determine the "true" value of something (there is no such thing); the only real concern in this case is to divide the land in a fair way. This can be done easily, and indeed there are ways to fairly divide a resource between any n number of parties. The first person will divide the land in 2 part that they deem equal (as in, they do not prefer either one or the other), then the second person will decide how the two parts are to be assigned. The first cannot complain no matter what since they're the one that split the land to begin with, the second also has no complains since, if they thought that the division was unequal they would have simply assigned the better one to themselves.

I'm currently reading the LN and just arrived till chapter 4 of vol 12, "the taste of death". Here Subaru just got teleported in the sanctuary by Beatrice, who has got killed by Elsa. Right at the begging of the chapter Subaru, who noticed the snow, says “This isn’t funny… It’s still the second day…". Little time later, when he asks Garfiel about Emilia he replies “Dunno that, either. —The Princess has been holed up in the tomb since last night, see?”. But this just doesn't make sense judging by the events of that loop. To make everything clearer (I know loops are something hard to remember sometimes) I reassumed what happened since the checkpoint till Subaru and Garfiel's encounter:

-Subaru wakes up next to Emilia, he's scared (he just experienced the appearance of Satella) and she comforts him immediately after her awakening.
-Later that night Subaru meets with Ryuzu, who explains him about the replicas and the "apostle of greed" thing.
-Going to the cathedral to sleep Subaru runs into Emilia, who's taking a stroll to clear her mind. They chat a bit before parting and going to bed.

-In the early morning Subaru departs from the sanctuary, leaving Emilia a letter.

My question is when did Emilia get in the tomb? According to Garfield, it happened the prior night. But this can't be for that night Emilia already tried the trial, waking up beside Subaru and getting out with him. Not even 24 hours have passed since then and you can attempt the trial only once a day. Maybe I didn't understand something, but this doesn't look to make sense to me. Can you please clear this for me?

Another Madden $70 re-skin is upon us, so let's take a moment to explore the history of all the people who have been featured on the cover of an pro football video game.
While the selection of the Madden cover athlete is now an event, there was a wild wild west period of football games from the 80s to the mid-2000s where anybody with a computer could and would build football games, with the selection of the cover being all over the place. Roger Craig was the first cover athlete in 1985 on NFL Challenge for MS-DOS. Madden's first game was in 1988, then by the mid-90s getting a cover athlete or spokesman for your football game was pretty standard.
I wanted to compile those games and covers based on this Wiki article (and a few that it was missing from that list) and see who was on the main cover of all of those games (some games were almost completely irrelevant, so I left them off this list). Some of these may have more alternates with other people, but I'll stick with the main cover.

Obviously QBs dominate here, but I didn't realize how little defensive players have been on football game covers (9%), with none being on a cover since Richard Sherman in 2014. I'd love to see more defensive players on the Madden cover. Who would be the most likely defensive guy in the near future? Aaron Donald, TJ Watt, Nick Bosa, Myles Garrett, or Sauce Gardner?

The Re-skins/Commanders?, Jags, Panthers, and Bills have appeared on a cover but never with an athlete as the lead or with a real person. Only the Texans have never appeared at all on the cover of any football video game. I'd say the Bills are most likely to get one next (Josh Allen), then the Jags (Trevor Lawrence), then the Panthers/Texans if either hits a home run with Young or Stroud. The Commanders have a long road ahead to getting a feature cover athlete, unless you ask Sam Howell who thinks he should be this year's Madden cover athlete.

Kordell Stewart, Daunte Culpepper, and Donovan McNabb (and possibly Lamar Jackson, still too early for him) are the only players with multiple appearances that are either not or are unlikely to make the Hall of Fame. McNabb is the only guy to appear in multiple covers in the same year. Also of note, 7 athletes were on a cover without ever making a pro bowl in their careers: Brad Muster, Pat Terrell, Gordon Laro, Chris Zorich, Albert Fontenot, William Floyd, and Peyton Hillis (Hillis was the only one to be the primary cover athlete).

We didn't see the first cover athlete until 1985 with Roger Craig. They didn't really become standard until the early to mid-90s after Madden became a big selling point for the early Madden games. The dip in the last 2 decades is because there's just less games, so any generic football games will have a large effect.

1978: Football! for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 was the first football video game with a cover, but obviously the cover athletes are generic.

The 2D Era: 1983-1996

1985: NFL Challenge was the first football game with a real cover athlete (Roger Craig). This was the original bar for realism in football simulation, to where it was used in a 1988 ESPN Program \"NFL Dream Season\" where they simulated the greatest teams of all time against each other.
1988: John Madden Football released on the Apple II, MS-DOS, and Commodore 64/128 (partly being developed by Bethesda), which was the beginning of the most dominant franchise in football video games. They featured no NFL teams due to a lack of an NFL license.
1991: Tecmo Super Bowl is probably still my personal favorite football video game. It's totally timeless, and if you pick the Raiders then you're a cheater.

The Parity Era: 1997-2004

1997: NFL Blitz came from Midway studios and was a breath of fresh air for football games. They had mostly been stagnant trying to hone in on realistic simulation in 2D form, whereas Blitz came out in 3D and threw realism out the window. I definitely spent too much money on the arcade version of this game.
2000: Madden 2001 started the tradition of having their games feature a cover athlete in this format, which consolidated into nearly everyone following this trend.
2001: Backyard Football 2002 was a more kid-friendly version of a football video game, and they also had other games for other professional sports. I definitely played this a lot on my old Windows Me computer, and Pablo Sanchez is a god.
2002: NFL Fever was Microsoft's foray into football video games on the original Xbox. All 3 of their games featured Peyton Manning as the cover athlete.
2002: NFL GameDay 2003 was 989 Sports' exclusive for Sony on the PlayStation platform.
2004: ESPN NFL 2K5 was the last great football game before the NFL exclusively gave their license to the EA. It was this game that definitely led to NFL's decision though, as they slashed their release price to an unheard of $20, which forced Madden 2004 to release at $30 instead of the typical $50. This pissed off the NFL, who decided to have less competition instead.

The Madden Era: 2005-Present

2005: NFL Street 2 was the second in the NFL Street series as a kind of spiritual successor to NFL Blitz. EA tried to have some diversity in their football video games outside of the Madden franchise, so they had the short-lived Street franchise under \"EA BIG\"
2006: NFL Head Coach was a new perspective on NFL Games where you play as the coach instead of the players. I enjoyed these although they could get a little boring.
2007: All Pro Football 2K8 was 2K's attempt at keeping the 2K football franchise alive without the coveted NFL license. They got three HoF players on the cover in Elway, Barry, and Rice, but not the actual license to any NFL team. This game received praise for its mechanics, but poor sales showed that a non-NFL licensed game would always struggle to make it.
2011: Madden 12 was maybe the last good Madden game. Also, Peyton Hillis. The only guy on a NFL football game cover to never make a Pro Bowl. This guy is an actual hero though, so good for him.
2019: Doug Flutie's Maximum Football was a mix of american and CFL football as another attempt at making a football game without the NFL license to poor results. They have announced a new game as a free to play title on new platforms, but no games in this franchise have released since 2020.
2020: Retro Bowl is a mobile game more in the style of Tecmo Super Bowl than Madden. It's probably the most successful non-Madden game since ESPN NFL 2K5, and it's pretty fun. People should definitely give this one a try since it's free to play on any mobile platform.
2022: Madden 23 gave the cover back to Madden for the first time since 1999 to honor the passing of the legend John Madden. Unfortunately the game inside the cover was crap, has been the style of Madden games for over a decade.

I have now read the main trilogy and watched the movies but one thing that really irks me is that any mental health problems and disabilities are taken out. After the first games, Peeta loses his leg and has to get a prosthetic but in the movie his injury is like a little scratch that needs stitches which makes it harder for him in the quarter quell. Then Katniss goes deaf in one ear after blowing up the careers' supplies and her ear remains that way for the rest of the games. After the quarter quell Katniss struggles a lot with her mental health especially after seeing what's left of 12. It only gets worse when she is shot and has to go on morphling which causes her to get an addiction. Finally after Prim's death, Katniss doesn't eat or anything like and once she gets back to 12, she stays in the kitchen/living room area and doesn't leave the house, while in the movies she lives alone and goes hunting by herself. Wish Hollywood didn't leave out such important topics like this

Went to my in laws yesterday. Majority of them alcoholics just like me. And they know how to party. I had 12 white claws, idk how many Surfsides and numerous tequila shots. Someone brought a bottle of Patron and we killed it in 15 mins. My FIL demanded we needed more so they went and got 2 more bottles (the one sober person drove to get it). Finished those too. Somehow I didn't black out? Strange. I usually do, but I did actually eat through out the day so that had to help.
Today I get to go to my cousins house for a BBQ and know I'll be kicking back beverages there as well. Unfortunately I have to work on Memorial Day so I'm hoping I don't feel too shitty tmw. I don't plan on being productive and I work from home so I should be ok. I just know I'm going to wake up and want to continue drinking, but last time I did that I drank way too much and went to bed mid work day without telling anyone. No one noticed but the fear and shame of it all took a while to let go of.
Anyway I'm surrounded by alcoholics so no one's worried about me. For now my life is still somewhat together and I have no thoughts of ever giving up drinking. I just have to be smart about it, which an alcoholic can't really be that smart about it. Once I start drinking, my body is programmed to drink until I pass out. It does suck always thinking about it and worrying that you won't have enough. It's a vicious cycle too where you wake up feeling shame and anxious about what you did while drinking, but continue to drink more to forget about those feelings.
Ok I kind of went on a tangent there, but chairs everyone! Enjoy your bbqs and especially the alcohol!

The 2022 Midterm Election is the most important midterm of our lifetime.Democrats must behave as if our lives depend on this midterm, because our future depends on the outcome.
”We the people” must deny the Republican party political power at every level of government for decades to come “in order to create a more perfect union.” With 48 States having some statewide contest(s), November 8th, 2022 is our best chance the Democrats will get to do that for the rest of this decade, at least.
”The List” encourages the election of a Democratic Supermajority in the US Senate in 2022. This is the best chance we will have to create a Democratic Supermajority in both Chambers of Congress for the remainder of this decade. This midterm could be a devastating loss for the democrats if good patriots ignore this election. If Americans of good conscience band together instead, we could could begin the exile of the Republican party from power, not for years, but for decades to come.
“The List” is a set of suggestions about where to focus collective activism today.
The election of Democratic Supermajorities to both chambers of the US Congress is the best outcome we can strive towards in the 2022 Midterm Election for many reasons. Among them: breaking the decade of gridlock in Congress, supporting President Biden’s agenda, and his re-election in 2024. My personal favorite is that this could commence the decades-long political banishment of the GOP from power, which the Republican Party so richly deserves.
The Republican party has proved itself treasonous on many levels. They are traitors to Humanity by supporting Trump. Traitors to the Nation for supporting Putin. Traitors to the government and betrayers of the constitution through their apologies for the 1/6/21 insurrection. To safeguard our country and the world, we must block the Republicans from power at the ballot box, at all levels of government, for at least a generation.
Political game playing may be inevitable among humans. Change the numbers, and then change the rules, if not the game. Cynical refusal to play at this time in history cedes power to NAZIs manipulated by Active Measures. That is a surrender to crypto fascism, not radical thinking, mere cynicism, or hipsterism.
In 2022, Patriots must unify to crush the Republican Party at the ballot box. We can defeat them in every State, at every level. We need the biggest turnout at the voting booth of any Midterm ever. We need to raise more money for candidates and organizations than we did during the entire 2020 campaign season if we are to accomplish this. We need to do this in the next six months.
This is what a “Blue Tsunami” REALLY looks like.
Electing a Democratic Supermajority in Congress is our hope for the future and retribution for America’s enemies. “22 Blue in 2022” is a roadmap to the beginning of that journey. “22 Blue in 2022” is our war plan. ”22 Blue in 2022” is our electoral battle cry. “22 Blue in 2022” is a way forward out of gridlock, a way to non-violently thwart those who would poison the body politic with their hate.
If we don’t try this hard in 2022, Trump will go unpunished and metastasize by 2024.

I am trying to figure out if using a fine-tuned GPT-3 model will perform better than GPT-4. I am prompting with a description of an object and asking the API to send me back a JSON object from that description. Additional prompts will pass that generated object back with any modification to be made on the object. I am trying to figure out if GPT-4 with 5k tokens training may perform better than a fine-tuned GPT-3 model with ~800k tokens of training. With that much specialized training for a specialized task I think GPT-3 will perform better even with the advantages GPT-4 brings.
In terms of costs, it will basically be the same per prompt, but there is the upfront cost of training for GPT-3, maybe $25, but it is one-time (unless ofc fine-tuning for GPT-3.5 or 4 comes out, hopefully soon…) so not too concerned about it.
So this is my estimates for cost: GPT-4: $0.03 x 5 + $0.03 + $0.06 = $0.24 $0.15 (5k tokens) for training per prompt since no session + $0.03 (1k tokens) prompt with original model and modification description + $0.06 (1k tokens) API output. GPT-3: $0.12 + $0.12 = $0.24 $0.12 (1k tokens) prompt with original model and modification description + $0.12 (1k tokens) API output.
So what do you all think? Fine tuning GPT-3 will outweigh the advantages of GPT-4?
