So I read your comments and I appreciate your advice to how to proceed. Onto the update:
So I responded to her message to day after she sent the message. We made small talk to see how our lives are, and to gage how her headspace was at. She then asked again to meet up for a drink, and a basically responded with "I appreciate the offer for a drink, but honestly, I'm not really in the right headspace right now. You messaging me after all this time made some previous feelings from the past come back, feelings that I've worked hard to work past. I also know that you've been through a breakup recently, and I feel like its not the right time for the both of us to meet up. I may be reading this wrong, but with what has happened in the past, I think that its best to just work on ourselves. I still want our friendship, and if she needs someone to talk to, you can text me anytime. But we both need to have time to ourselves and see where we are afterwards. Again, thank you for the offer and I wish you the best."
She took a while to respond back to me, and she responded with, "Hey, I understand and will respect the space that you need, and I will do the same with taking time for myself. I never really understood how you've been after what happened, and I'm sorry for not reaching out more. That was really messed up for me to not do that. I hope you forgive me and hopefully in the near future we can hang out with you and others from school. Thank you for messaging me back and I wish you the best."
So it went better than I thought and I'm in a better place after reading her message.
So for now that's the update. Maybe I will update if anything changes.

I’m currently running a Cybergun featherweight M249 with the A&K 1500 round box mag and I’ve noticed an odd issue. I’m using a MOSFET, an 11.1v battery, and I installed a selector switch to let me use burst while on semi auto. However recently I’ve had some feed issues…the first round of investigation turned up a hop/bucking alignment issue which I’ve fixed resulting in my fully auto MOSTLY working as intended. However when I’m using semi auto my mag tube only feeds every other round. If I wiggle the tube a bit while I’m shooting I can hear the bb shift into the chamber and it’ll fire fine and I can shoot semi auto without issue. However if I don’t touch the tube it will always dry fire every other round. So clearly the issue is the tube on my mag. I’ve tried shifting it around with a rubber band to see if I could find a sweet spot but thus far no luck. The tube does have one small defect in the coils where they’re separated a bit (ie not coiled as tightly) near where the tube goes into the mag well adapter. It doesn’t look like the BBs are snagging there but I’m not sure - I can provide pictures if needed. Anyone have experience with this issue? It’s been issue after issue with this gun. Side note the hicap that came with the gun feeds fine every time. Oh and also I use the manual pressure switch to drive the mag so that’s always depressed while firing. Thanks!

I adopted a GSM rescue last year. He tested negative for heartworm at the shelter, and my vet didn't retest until his annual physical last week. He's been on preventive meds since I adopted him. The initial antigen test was positive and she's waiting to confirm the results. She thinks he picked it up at the shelter right before they tested him, so it didn't show up yet. He doesn't have any symptoms.
He's very sweet and usually pretty chill in the house, but he gets SUPER excited when the doorbell rings, when people come over, and when he's getting his harness and/or leash on to go outside. He doesn't have a crate, because he's never really needed one--he will go in another room to hang out alone if he wants space, and he usually just wants to chill near me anyway when we're not playing. I think trying to crate-train him now quickly enough to make a difference wouldn't help much--and he might get more anxious and try to get out. He's also somewhat reactive to other dogs--he wants to say hi, but gets really excited and pulls and tries to run and drag me over) and wants to chase wildlife. I always take him on a leash and harness, but he's very strong and can still get in quick bursts of pulling/running. Even our yard isn't 100% safe-- the other night a fox dashed out from the bushes 3 feet from us and sprinted across the yard, and of course he (on his leash) wanted to go after it. There are a lot of bunnies in our yard, and a dog lives next door who goes nuts behind the fence when he's nearby on the other side in our yard, and sometimes he reacts to her. Then his nemesis lives behind us and sometimes gets in our yard, and they fight every time they see each other and I have to pull them apart. He also reacts if he even HEARS that dog from inside the house. The other issue is, he refuses to poop in the yard unless things are DIRE, and THAT stresses him out, so he probably has to go on at least short walks. We've been working hard on his reactivity, and he's doing much better, but it still happens sometimes and even one incident could cause an embolism...
I'm not sure what I can do to keep him safe during treatment. He really is chill in the house 99% of the time, but that 1%... Should I ask the landlady if I can disconnect the doorbell temporarily? He usually doesn't react to people near the door otherwise unless they come inside-- he's used to deliveries getting dropped off. Should I put up a sign? I think gating him would also be counterproductive and he'd try to jump over it. I have very flexible work from home, but I'm a lawyer and I can't just not go to court for six weeks, so I'll have to be gone sometimes. I also don't know what to do about taking him out and the reactivity-- he's worse when he's been cooped up, too. I'm planning to ask the vet about meds/calming stuff, but I'm so worried--what if the meds don't work? He's my best boy, I can't let anything happen to him.
Does anyone have any advice for keeping him and his environment calm for 4-8 weeks?!

I used a 265 more than a month. Every thing is going so well except it took me almost nearly 20% when running with music (I run wo my phone connect, the terrain is normal city street) Other activities is really normal, running ar 10k with out music just took me around 4/5%. I think they need to fix software and how Bluetooth delivers music to my airpod 3

I am a 16 year old dude who lives in uppal area.This incident happened to me today (28/5/23 around 8 AM) My granny was visiting my mom's elder sister in begumpet. She called me and asked me whether I wanna come too or not. I said yes because my mom's elder sister's son is my favourite cousin. We decided to go through the metro since it saves money. We boarded from stadium metro station.Before we boarded the train my granny said to come with her in the ladies compartment. I said NO because i am 16 year old guy with FREAKING BEARD AND A MOUSTACHE. She said ok. We boarded the train.She went in the ladies compartment and i went in the next one so that my granny can still see me.After about 2 mins, idk why she came running and screaming with the top of her lungs from the ladies compartment to mine to take me back to the ladies compartment. Everyone from the ladies compartment and my compartment had their eyes on us. I somehow convinced her and stayed in the compartment and she went back to the ladies compartment. And there i was sitting holding my tears with everyone laughing at me. After we got off at begumpet metro station i asked her why she wanted me to be in the ladies compartment. She said because i was a kid and i would be allowed to sit in the ladies compartment.
My immediate reaction was "I AM 16, GRANNY" (in telugu)
She really had to embarass me infront of like 50 ppl. When I narrarted this incident to my Mom she was like "HAA WHAT UR GRANNY SAID IS TRUE ONLY UR A KID AND U WOULD BE ALLOWED TO SIT IN THE LADIES COMPARTMENT"
I immediately left the room.

I just had a moment of "what is it like having a normal, healthy dog?" and thought maybe I'd reach out to see if anyone has been there. This is gonna be long and have a lot of parentheses so...
TL;DR my adopted dog of 1 year has frequent bowel upsets (about 1/month) that usually resolve with probiotics/time.
Further info: he's a bit over a year old - his age is iffy (anywhere from year and a half to 2 years old). Was picked up as a stray but likely dumped by a prior owner. He's 9lbs, DNA testing says mostly Chihuahua, but also some pekingese, dachshund, poodle, Pomeranian, and whatever other small dog you can think of.
Since literally the day we got him home he's had bowel issues. We've spent so much $$$ at the vet thank God we can afford it. The vet's ultimate conclusion is "probably IBS." She said we could test his liver and kidneys to rule out further disease but she's not inclined to think it's that because his weight is stable and no other symptoms.
Most upsets are triggered by him eating something he shouldn't on a walk. He's had professional training, great at leave it/drop it, except dude loves an earthworm jerky and will swallow it before we can get out "drop it" - then cue the diarrhea.
We already gave up on traditional wet food. Even prescription diet wet food gave him horrible colon upset (I can't even describe how awful it was even with slow intro) so his vet gave the OK to do bland diet (boiled chicken/white rice) as long as he gets some kibble to fill the gap on missing nutrients (about 1/2 to 2/3 cup of sensitive skin and stomach formula each day). He also gets half a packet of probiotic powder with breakfast but we do a whole packet when he's in a flare.
Right now we're on day 4 of a flare and it's mostly resolved - poop is back to normal but I wasn't giving his nighttime snack of a smartbones brand mini churro at night - usually he gets one in his crate and works on it throughout the night. Since he's been sick I thought it best to wait until he was all better so I was giving a little chicken before bed instead.
Well TIL what "empty stomach vomiting" is when he woke me up by throwing up bile in his crate. I feel like an asshole. He didn't want his breakfast either bc I'm assuming he still feels gross but ate a little cheese and is now asleep on me.
I think I'm just looking for someone to say "yeah I've been there it's wild" or advice or anything because I love him so much but holy shit this is so exhausting.

Had my last long run, which was 50k, before my 1st 50 miler in 4 weeks. I signed up for a race to practice race day strategy and have some company.
Overall, it went well. I had my hydration pack ready the night before, skipping the bladder since there were plenty of aid stations, and going with just soft flask. Gels, 1 granola and 1 Larar bar, and Gatorade Endurance powder in small bags to refill the flasks, plus a bag to leave at start/finish since it passed it 1/2 through. I prepared some rice balls and mashed potatoes and had them in zip lock bags since I like alternating gels with starchy carbs every 30 mins. Well first issue was about 30 minutes after leaving home I realized I left my rice/Potatoe in the refrigerator. I was annoyed at first but then just said it was a minor issue and part of ultras are dealing with the unexpected.
The course was nice since it had slight higher evaluation gain per mile than my 50 miler. I think my pace at the start could have been just a tad slower and walked hills a little sooner, it was difficult to gage since there were just tons of small hills that added up instead of some bigger climbs.
It got pretty warm, mid 80s and one of the hotter runs so far this spring (live in NH, raced in ME). I believe I got behind in my hydration a bit and should have drank more sooner. I did have about 4 liters of gatorade/tailwind and 1 liter of H2O but I think I waited too long since I did pee twice but the 2nd time was darker than typical. I think I did fine with calories between what I got from the Gatorade, gels, bars and aid station snacks, which I grabbed the chips, crackers and other non-sweets.
I finished in 6:40ish which I'm good with, the intent was a training. I feel pretty good today, did a real ez 1 hour recovery.
Lessons learned are pack early the day before to chill at night, start slower than I think I need to, hydrate more sooner and just make a simple check list to make sure I bring everything I need - drop bag, shoes, hydration pack and food from fridge!

That weekend had an overall cume of $287 million compared to $208 million this weekend Take away the $22 million gap between the two Black Panther films and there’s still a $57 million gap between the two weekends. The difference may not feel that large when a mega blockbuster is propping up the grosses,but the contrast is harsher when the mid-level films are the entire box office as we saw in recent months.

Finishing up the top five is The Little Mermaid, which had its biggest weekend drop yet, falling 42% for a 10 million from a budget of just $20 million.

• This Silver Tomo is in excellent condition used for about 3 weeks of light use.
• Hotswap PCB, Polycarbonate Plate
• IMPORTANT: upper case is slightly scratched ONLY from the inside. Scratches are located on some edges of the upper frame where PCB is "dropped" in. Scratches are NOT visible at all from outside when assembled. Scratches came from my dumb carelessness when trying to mount the o-ring. ^{[Please see picture #20 to #22 in Timestamps for in-detail pictures]}
• Other than scratches from inside edges of upper case, near flawless condition everywhere else. Especially the Silver alu outside and brass weight
• In picture #10, there is a very very slight scuff on the bottom right side corner, but it is honestly very hard to see. My phone camera can barely pick even it up, but just for reference.
• Comes with personally tuned TX Stabs already.
• All screws torqued only until my first feel of resistance
• Comes with all accessories included when shipped to me (which includes the o-ring, not currently mounted). The keeb will be wrapped with the included microfiber cloth. I did not have the Kaban carrying case.
• Will be shipped in original slide-out box. I cut out the first two foam-safety bars on the packaging so that the Tomo can fit in there better. See picture #26 for detail.

 

Has anyone used Fraxel for treatment of scarring, raised skin or hypopigmentation? My tattoo is almost fully gone. I do have some stubborn green left. But I have a lot of hypopigmentation which is leaving me feeling just as self conscious as my tattoo. I continue to keep my skin covered as a result.
I tried several sessions of micro needling. I think it helped a bit with the texture and raised look but really not nearly enough to continue with it. I have had two treatments of Fraxel so far. I don’t see much difference yet. Has anyone successfully completed sessions with Fraxel or have photos of progress? I need some inspiration and motivation to continue!

The pilot’s voice faded as I stared out the window. My teenage son, Fawaz, was playing chess on his iPhone. I turned around and tapped his shoulder.
“Excited to see your grandparents?” I asked.
“Yeah Dad! Haven’t seen them in so long,” Fawaz exclaimed before refocusing on his game.
The engines gradually activated, releasing a magnificent roar. After takeoff, I marveled at the afternoon sun-illuminated, desert landscape. I slumped against my cushiony seat, draped a blanket around myself, and selected a movie on my monitor.
For dinner, I had tomato soup, pan-fried lamb, steamed rice, and cheesecake. I watched as darkness engulfed us, the scarlet sun disappearing into the horizon.
An hour later, I was preparing to sleep when the pilot made an announcement.
“Folks, we’re currently flying over Greenland. We’re getting unconfirmed reports of passenger airliners disappearing near our scheduled path over Europe. Please don’t panic and remain in your seats. Unless more information becomes available, this flight will continue normally. Seatbelt signs are on.”
“Dad, what was that about?” Fawaz asked.
“No idea. It’s probably nothing,” I replied.
I noticed some passengers talking amongst themselves. It was pitch-black outside, minus the rhythmically-blinking wingtip lights and the brightened, golden Arabic logo on the engine. The turbines hummed peacefully. 30 minutes later, the captain spoke.
“Folks, we’re getting warnings of European airports and airspaces under attack. We’ll be taking a detour over Africa. I apologize for the delay.”
I heard passengers groan. 30 minutes later, another announcement came.
“Folks, we’re getting warnings of African, Asian, and American airports and airspaces under attack. Until further instructions are given, we’ll remain airborne over the Northern Atlantic Ocean.”
At this point, I was worried. Fawaz fearfully stared at me as I consoled him. 30 minutes later, another announcement.
“Folks, we’ll be making an emergency, at-sea landing. All airports and airspaces across the world are under attack and no longer safe. Flight 310, prepare for –”
A deafening, horn-like blast rattled the airplane. I peered outside and saw three white, triangularly-arranged lights. The lights were on the “forehead” of a colossal, biomechanical object. Three slender legs jutted from below, and multiple tentacles swarmed under its “mouth.” Passengers screamed. The object let out another menacing roar as it pointed a glowing blue tentacle at my window. Within seconds, a blue flash swallowed the airplane. I fainted.
I opened my eyes and looked outside. Rusty-orange clouds drifted below. The sky was an uncanny crimson. I caught a glimpse of three passenger jets briefly peaking through the dense clouds. I gazed at Fawaz and the other passengers, who were still unconscious. The intercoms buzzed, and the pilot spoke in a composed voice.
“Folks, welcome to the Beyond. An endless realm with poisonous air and no solid ground, millions of light-years from Earth. This aircraft will be your eternal home, for there is no escape from the Beyond.”

Hello. I am Moon, or J. I have only been DMing for a short time, but I believe Im doing pretty well. I am starting up a game that is on Thursday nights, from 6pm-10pm Eastern Standard Time. I want to make this perfectly clear, I am looking for players that will show up, and be on time. I want to play consistently, and I need players that will honor that. Now, we are all adults, and shit happens, I won't be judging for that, but I want players that will be there more often than not.
I am not against new players, however I would prefer if you had some experience, as I plan on starting at level 10. This is to allow variety in your characters, as well as be able to handle the trials ahead.
Starting magic items will be as follows: 1 legendary(will explain), 1 very rare, 1 rare, and 1 uncommon. The legendary item you choose will be nerfed by me, and re-empowered within the campaign, almost like an artifact, but not nearly as powerful. My reasoning is, you are level 10 adventurers, you have probably found a powerful item at some point.
I also want to make clear homebrew is a huge YES. My 2 main requirements are that it fits the setting, so no sci-fi stuff, unless you can flavor it well, or you can make a good argument on why it should work. Also, I need to see whatever it is, to ensure it's not too OP compared to the rest of the party.
I encourage creativity. The Rule of Cool is a big part of my personal playstyle as well as my DM style. I want you to have fun, and try the wacky stuff.

Hey all, I’m just kind of at a loss. I have the most difficult classroom. I’ve been working with children for 6ish years, and never have I ever had children not listen, be so seemingly hellbent on hurting each other (on purpose), and it’s gotten to the point where my director had no idea what else we can do. I’m beyond frustrated and feel so anxious and incompetent, and I guess I’m just…trying not to lose passion for the field because of it. Despite all of this, I love my job, and I don’t want to have to move classrooms or explore other options, but I am beyond frustrated. I am a very young looking teacher, and one student in particular said they don’t have to listen to me because I’m not a “big adult” like the other teachers. Not surprisingly, I nearly constantly have to put my foot down when they try to spread that rhetoric to the other students. It’s so difficult to run the classroom when your students refuse to see you as an authority figure no matter how much follow through, consistency, structure, or planning you have, and some even encourage others not to listen. All of this is in a Pre-K classroom, no less. Any advice or solidarity welcome, I’m just stressed and struggling.

let’s call him mauricio. i don’t even remember when it started, i just know my earliest memory of it was when we were about 2 or 3. we were in my mothers bedroom at my grandmothers house. everyone was in the backyard barbecuing when he starts kissing me and sucking on my face. he told me we were “loving each other.” i didn’t know what that was and i thought it was funny, until my mom shouted at us through the window and asked what we were doing & i responded saying we were loving each other. my mom immediately ran inside and up the stairs and discovered him all over me with a red face and my hair messed up. she got very upset, but his parents just laughed it off and said it was an innocent thing. after that it didn’t happen for a while, until one day he started kissing me again. i finally got to an age where i realized what was happening was wrong and i told him that. he said it was totally normal and that he loved me. when all of our cousins were there he would suggest playing hide and seek in the dark so he could kiss me and grope me without anybody seeing. he would ask all of our parents for sleepovers so he could slip his hand under my shirt as i tried to sleep. if pretend to be asleep and he would grab my hand and put it on his penis and start rubbing. as we got older, the more scared i got. because he got bolder with the things he’d do. as we got older, he got stronger. i get mad. i cry. alexander cries and says he doesn’t know why he did it and he knows it was wrong. years go by and i don’t go back home due to medical problems i was going through. i finally go back. i’m about 17 years old. let me just clarify beforehand that i am not a skinny girl. i’ve always been the chunky cousin. i’m 5’8” and i’ve got chunky arms and i’m strong. apparently not strong enough. i went to my grandmothers house for the holidays. i was asleep in my room. with the door LOCKED. i wake up to the feeling of someone on top of me moving back and forth with their hands in my shirt. i care. it is true. it’s now been two years since i told everybody. my mom had started speaking to his mom again. his parents and my uncle and my grandma still defend him. i’ve gone through months and months of therapy and spiritual healing so i’m okay now. but every now and then i remember the fear i felt and how weak i felt and i just want to shrivel up and die. my younger cousin and i will never get justice. he will continue to walk around being the star of the family for the rest of our lives. i will have to sit back and watch my grandmother put my abuser before me until the day she dies. i love her, but i cannot forgive her. i cannot forgive my uncle either. they both try so hard to regain my trust and love, but i can’t do it. they’ve betrayed me.

Hello All:
I (34F; ASD-2/ADHD/C-PTSD) and my boyfriend (43M; ASD-1/GAD/C-PTSD) have been dating for nearly 7 months. Neither of us have any children. I’ve been married before (back when I didn’t yet know I was autistic); he has not been married nor much prior relationship experience. We live about 2.5 hours away from each other via train (neither of us drive) and he comes to stay with me most weekends (my area is more sensory friendly; way less stimuli to deal with).
We have been deconstructing our ingrained ableism and unrealized/unresolved traumas individually; then, communicating through them together to ensure we truly understand one another on fundamental levels. We stripped each other down to our raw, authentic selves and fell in love. It took approximately 6 months to get to the point of actually enabling each other to begin constructing together the honest type of relationship that we both truly had been seeking with a potential life partner via the initial “deconstruction phase” of our relationship in order to get to our innate wants, needs, desires, emotions, etc.
Due to the level of trauma each of us have independently endured in our lives (unfortunately, like the majority of us autistic people have been through), it took about 4 months for us to finally meet in person (we met on Hiki, then moved on to text, phone chatting, Zoom prior to meeting IRL). Then, it took another month to adjust, get comfortable in person, and feel safe before we engaged in having sex for the first time (so, around a 5 month process). I have an IUD (Paraguard) but also a fairly strong sensory aversion to condoms. We both were responsible and got STD/STI testing + shared results (screen-sharing) as well as discussed in-depth how we would make decisions/communicate should an unexpected pregnancy happen.
Well, it happened. A few weeks ago I had started having pregnancy symptoms and realized that I was pregnant. I let him know promptly and we both started to become very excited! 🥰 I was so happy, he too, and I truly believe he’d make a fabulous father. [Side note: Part of the reason I divorced my ex is because he was emotionally unavailable which I don’t think allows for someone to be a good parent. Despite my pleas to work on our intimacy, my ex refused and kept pressuring me to have kids. I couldn’t take it, cope with such anymore. But, my ex was NT and I also realize now that I basically just endured the double empathy problem from my ex for 6 of 7 of the years of our marriage].
Anyway, my current partner and I were genuinely thrilled about having our baby together. And, I felt it was even making us closer. Then, last night happened. 🥺😭 I had clots and bleeding. It’s clear I lost our lil shared-DNA creation. He wasn’t over this weekend because he’s working on renovating his apartment so he can rent it out and move in with me. I had to let him know over the phone which even meant via text cause I went nonverbal. 😔 Of course, I didn’t just text him the news directly at first, I made sure he was aware I had something sad to let him know and that it was a good time for him before I proceeded with telling him what happened.
It was a really sad evening last night. My loving, wonderful, autistic man lit a candle in his yard and put lil things around it that I had given to him around the light. We read together a writing from my Cherokee ancestry which made us both cry. I was so incredibly appreciative that he proposed this idea and led this vigil for the baby we will no longer have together in physical form.
I’m still really, very sad as is he. He’s coming down to my place this evening. He wanted to come last night, but it would’ve caused me to overload due to lack of enough time for an adequate adjustment period for my mental/emotional processing. I felt bad I couldn’t just tell him “yes, come down” last night, but it seriously would’ve caused me to dissociate which would’ve made me unable to healthily process this loss, causing me future troubles. He was understanding and respect my needs/boundaries (which led him to offering to put together the vigil and my subsequently sharing the reading). Well, anyway, I am pushing myself a little bit today agreeing to have him over, but I know he really needs togetherness in order to have comfort and healing too: It’s part of his way of processing things which I am OK with, but leads to my questions…
When he’s over tonight, if I begin to feel overwhelmed — need some reset time — how should I best convey this to him under our grieving circumstances?
I want to be there for him tonight as he so much put himself aside for me last night, and ending up in a meltdown myself will not allow such to be possible at all. It’s probably only like a 5-15% chance for this to happen, but he’s a very emotionally expressive type when vulnerable and unmasked which I love (yet sometimes can be fairly intense, especially because emotions are my #1 sensory sensitivity). So, ya, I’m already anticipating that — even if “suppressing” [for lack of a better term] some of his emotions — I’ll just innately pick up on a flood of emotions from him tonight.
So, ya, any thoughts, suggestions, advice, shared experiences, etc. of how to manage self while also desiring wanting to “be there” (also, lack of better term) for someone else who is sad, grieving, etc. while you are as well is greatly appreciated in advance.
